Covid-19: Contact Tracing

0 3

As the COVID-19 PANDEMIC number of cases, continue to rise, we should know how health officials and government deal and process the contact tracing. On the other hand, people are do misunderstood the protocols thats leads them to speculate misconceptions and myths.

Below are the myths about contact tracing.

MYTH: If I test positive, my identity and also those have close contact with me will be shared with the public.

FACT: If you get test positive, your identity will not be shared with your contacts it will be safe—they will only be told they may have been exposed that's why they need to be under monitoring.

MYTH: Contact tracing doesn’t seem to be tobbe effective to flatten the curve. Positive cases keep rising day-by-day.

FACT: Without contact tracing being performed, COVID-19 Virus number of cases will rise further instead to be flattened because we can’t track the virus and test, treat, and isolate patients from contracting other people.

MYTH: I don't want to answer my phone, because I don’t think I can speak English while talking to the person on the other line.

FACT: Language will not be a barrier to both caller and recipient. Contact tracers can speak several languages (they are hired for it) and have access to professional translation. That's why, you don't need to speak in English while getting interviewed.

If we don't participate in Contact Tracing protoc, this might lead to another wave of Covid-19 cases. The government and health professionals are doing their best in order to flattened the curve by limiting our movements and finding the cure. This is for our safety.

Cooperation is indeed important in times like this.
