When should Sex Education Begin?

I practically boil when I hear the word "rape". I believe we can't imagine anything more wicked. I simply believe that we can't prevent it without sex education. What age does it start? How do we tell a 15 months old about her or his body? These are the questions we intend to answer.

I believe that our kids will not be vulnerable so let's start from the dressing. Most times we let them remain without their clothes once they are in the house. We should reduce that. Helping them to remain dressed will create a sense of self ownership in them.

Also we should teach them that any part of their body below their navel and above their knees is called "the private part". Teach them that private means something that they only can control. Teach them to say "stop it" and "no" when there is an intrusion. Teach them to tell you when they feel an uncomfortable presence. Apart from "teaching" them we should "learn" to respect their view.

Finally, teach them how to comport themselves when they are outside the home. They should not go into hidden places; they should not leave a place with any outsider to get gifts; they should not play nasty games with other kids. Not to forget, we should teach them to trust us. I wish us all a safe trip as we begin the journey to raising the world's smartest kids!
