Mangosteen is the 8th rarest fruit in the world. It is very uncommon in Western market places. It blooms in Indonesia and other South Asian countries. Mangosteen has a very attractive purple colour and sweet fragrance. It's fruity part is found in a small shell.

It thrives between the months of May and August and is grown in three varieties. Mangosteen juice is enjoyed in Southern Asian countries during summer and is beneficial to ones health. It helps to give relief from urinary problems and diarrhea. It also strengthens the immune system.
