  • The Bitcoin Cash Node (BCHN) project has released their latest financial report. Project funds are held by team members in a 3-of-5 multi-signature wallet. BCHN has approximately 3958 BCH and since the project started, a total of approximately 592 BCH has been spent so far.

  • New tasks by cryptocurrency derivatives exchange Bit.com are now live on BCH wallet Zapit. Users can win up to $10 in BCH and 8 ZAPT by completing three simple tasks.

  • "Cryptoasset Consumer Research 2021", was published by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of the UK, shows that public awareness and estimated ownership of crypto is up to around 2.3 million, up from around 1.9 million in 2020 – and 78% of adults have now heard of cryptocurrencies. In the UK, BCH is the second most well-known cryptocurrency.

  • The next Bangkok Bitcoin Cash meetup—Developers’ night/ Project Night, will be held on June 24 by Jajaa, ambassador and community leader at Satoshi’s Angels in Thailand. This will be a tech focused meetup, and there will be some BCH swag to give away during the meetup.

  • BCH developer Jonald Fyookball has announced an alpha release of Electron Cash with RPA functionality (Reusable Payment Addresses). This release includes software for Windows and Linux. RPA is a special kind of "address" that generates a fresh BCH address for each transaction behind the scenes. With RPA, BCH will be more usable, private, secure, recoverable, and trustless.

  • Jiang Zhuoer, founder of BTC.TOP, said in a June 16 tweet in response to Elon Musk that, since all the mining facilities in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Qinghai provinces have been shut down, only hydropower mining farms in Sichuan are left. Currently the clean energy usage by Bitcoin miners already exceeds 50%. However, according to news on June 18, Sichuan province is also requested to clean up and shut down all mining facilities.

  • The Canadian mining company Bitfarms announced that the company will be listed on Nasdaq on Monday, June 21. Founded in 2017, Bitfarms is already listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and leverages the ticker “BITF.” The firm claims to process 1% of the global hashrate and with “99% green hydroelectricity.”
