On March 17, Smart Bitcoin Cash (Moeing Chain), an Ethereum EVM and Web3 API compatible sidechain project on BCH, launched its official website and a fundraising campaign on Flipstarter. In less than 2 days, Smart Bitcoin Cash reached its fundraising goal of 1,000 BCH, which was about 540k USD at the time of completion. "BCH YOLO" pledged 419.91 BCH, accounting for 42% of the total fundraising amount. Marc De Mesel, Kim Dotcom, Roger Ver, Jiang Zhuoer and other KOLs pledged as well.
Signal, a cross-platform encrypted messaging app, announced that it is accepting cryptocurrency donations including BCH through The Giving Block. All donations received will be used to support the development of the app as well as server and bandwidth costs.
Rosco Kalis of General Protocols & AnyHedge tweeted that CashScript v0.6.0 has been released. CashScript is a high-level programming language that enables smart contracts on the BCH chain, allowing developers to write smart contracts in a familiar way.
1BCH.com, a Bitcoin Cash and SLP tokens exchange, is now live.
As of Mar 20, the BCH position of Grayscale Trust is 294,412 BCH, an increase of 1,347 BCH compared to last week, and the current premium rate remains as high as 436.23%.
On March 18, a BCH meetup in Bangkok was held at a restaurant that accepts BCH payments by Jajaa, ambassador and community leader of BCH and also an angel at Satoshi’s Angels. All newcomers got $5 worth of BCH to buy their food/drink.
