A NEW CASHTOKENS SUBREDDIT HAS BEEN CREATED

CashTokens is part of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) May 15th 2023 Network Upgrade, expanding the financial toolkit of Bitcoin Cash by allowing on chain fungible and non-fungible tokens. This upgrade not only allows standard tokens like NFTs but a wide range of on chain smart contract options such as prediction markets and covenants. People who are interested in developing and building with this new technology now have their own home on reddit at r/cashtokens where they can discuss, be inspired and inspire others with all things CashTokens related.

BCH ARGENTINA FLIPSTARTER PROGRESS

The Bitcoin Cash Argentina team is pleased to announce they have completed the second goal of their Flipstarter which was to bring the total of merchants on boarded up from 250 to 300. You can view the total and check out the merchants on map.bitcoin.com

FIRST OFFLINE MEETUP IN TAIWAN

The Taiwan Bitcoin Cash team had their first offline meetup. The first offline meetup was held at Pizza Ichiban following in the great bitcoin tradition of pizza associated firsts.

CASHFUSION IS NOW AVAILABLE ON ELECTRON CASH ANDROID

Mobile Electron Cash wallet users can now enjoy the same levels of privacy that desktop users have. The March 21st update to the Android version of Electron Cash now features CASHFUSION. Please note you must be running Orbot or a similar TOR client as well on your phone to take advantage of this new ability.

THE PAYTACA VENDING MACHINE VISITS THE CRYPTO STAKING CONFERENCE

Attendees of the Crypto Staking Conference in Tacloban City in need of refreshments were fortunate because also attending the conference was the Paytaca vending machine that accepts Bitcoin Cash in exchange for delicious snacks.

THE CASHSCRIPT SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT ADDS CASHTOKEN SUPPORT

The CashScript team has been working hard to add support for CashTokens to the CashScript SDK and have released version 0.8.0-next.2, which includes preliminary CashScript support on the CHIPNET network. CashScript allows for easier smart contracting on Bitcoin Cash and adding CashToken support will allow for even more abilities when the chain upgrades in May.
