  • SmartBCH tweeted that SHA256 hash power can stake smartBCH now, and users can vote and elect the validators of smartBCH with Bitcoin Cash Node in the testnet-T2.

  • A financial YouTuber and BCH supporter named Ryan Giffin will host a Bitcoin Cash golf event at PGA National on September 27 in South Florida. Roger Ver will be in attendance as a guest speaker to promote BCH. Registration will begin next week.

  • The BCH fundraising tool Flipstarter has helped a total of 72 projects get successfully funded in about a year, raising a total of 8,854.27 BCH.

  • Roger Ver joined a talk hosted by Jake Ducey, who has 120k followers on YouTube. In the talk, Roger Ver talks about the story and mission of the Bitcoin.com website, the reasons and beneficial impact of renouncing U.S. citizenship, his thoughts on the adoption of cryptocurrencies by some failing countries as their staple monetary system, and more. The full video is available on Roger Ver's YouTube page.

  • Marc De Mesel, an early investor and supporter of BCH, has released a new video titled Bitcoin Cash Better Investment Than Ethereum. Users can go to Odysee.com to watch this video.

  • In November 2020, BCHN added an RPC command for double spend proofs (DSProofs). Now, double-spend proofs are available via bch-js. Users can put in a TXID in the interactive Explorer UI offered by FullStack.cash and see if it generated a double-spend proof.

  • Josh Green, the founder of BCH full node client Bitcoin Verde, made a proposal called CHIP 2021-07 UTXO Fastsync. This proposal defines a method for nodes to generate, distribute, validate, and consume UTXO snapshots via the BCH P2P network. This method of synchronizing allows new nodes to join the network within a couple of hours (or less), instead of the current average of 8+ hours. Furthermore, this method of synchronizing (alongside block pruning methods) allows for BCH to scale in the medium-to-long term as the blockchain grows from gigabytes to terabytes.

  • A Flipstarter campaign to raise 75 BCH for the development of a Badger Wallet rewrite has begun. Badger Wallet was the first BCH wallet to support sending and receiving tokens via the SLP protocol. This Flipstarter campaign intends to raise funds to port over and update existing wallet functionalities, and to add in new features such as SLP (and NFT) token minting and CashScript contract support.
