2. Organizer Updates - Success & Challenges/Covid 💪💪🏻💪🏾
Argentina: High inflation rate currently. Lots of new users are interested. Most onboarding work is being done in Buenos Aires and some in Rio Grande. Hosted a meetup in April at a bar which accepts BCH. Meetups have moved online due to the restrictions. Businesses must close by 8pm.
Detroit, Michigan: Organizer runs a convenience store in Detroit Michigan which accepts BCH and other cryptocurrency. Meetups stopped due to the pandemic.
Bangalore, India: Hosted a meetup in April. The next meetup is canceled because of the restrictions. They continue onboarding businesses using Instacrypto for Merchants.
Barquisimeto: Working on a potential partnership with a shopping center to get all merchants within the mall to accept BCH. Zelle is a popular app in Venezuela for sending money.
Philadelphia: Working with a co-organizer to launch in-person meetups in the Philadelphia area. Hosting a virtual meetup in May.
Mexico City: Meetups have been stopped due to the pandemic. New members are growing strong for the Bitcoin Cash meetup. Starting activities to increase BCH awareness.
Venezuela: New restrictions were implemented. Gas restrictions were also implemented.
Philippines: Hosted an in-person meetup in April. Working on a BCH-related project with POS and SLP.
Other updates:
▶ Cleveland: New co-organizer in Cleveland. Meetups will be scheduled soon.
▶ Bangkok: New COVID restrictions. Next meetup is canceled.
▶ Zurich: Hosted a meetup in April. Next meetup is canceled due to bad weather.
▶ Kampala: Hosted an in-person meetup on April 30.
▶ Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria: Hosted a meetup on April 24.
▶ Tokyo: Due to restrictions and holiday, normal weekly meetup was cancelled for May 5th but will resume from May 12th.

6.Virtual meetups (2 regions in English and 1 in Spanish)
Three virtual meetups have been scheduled in May. The meetups are open to everyone.
Cheap Lightning, Osaka meetup co-organizer hosted the Asia region on May 1st. The meetup was well-attended with more than 20 members joining.
The next meetup is on May 8th hosted by BCH Argentina and will be in Spanish.
BCH Philadelphia will host the US/Canada region on May 15th.

Real-world inflation has been helpful to convince merchants to consider BCH and cryptocurrency in Bangalore
Zapit.io is a global wallet that can be used as a POS. There’s a built-in peer-to-peer exchange service. The wallet is currently available on Android and will be available soon on iOS.
