After you have filled out your weekly attitude-indicator, transfer your goals to your calendar. Some of your goals can be easily transfer others may be areas of focus that you look for opportunities to implement For example, if one of your goals is to be more patient, this is not a goal you will narrow own to a day and time, but its something you will work on throughout the week. Schedule the goals in your weekly attitude indicator first, and then plan the remainder of the week I have found that daily planning will vary with each person's style, schedule load, detail orientation, personality, and complexity in the family nature of work, and number of roles outside of home and work. The essence of daily planning is making sure you have written down all of your appointments, so you don't forget. You will also jot down your to-do list, which is nor time-specific as your appointments are. After you have created your to do list, put an "M" next to those items on your to-do list that you must do, an "S" next to those you should do and a "C" next to those you could do. Prioritize and number all of the items you must do, so you'll have M1, M2, M3, and so forth. Do the same thing with the should-do list and your could-do list Do the must-do items first followed by the should-do list, and lastly the could-do list if you have time. Check each item off as you do it, because it feels good.
you have a different process for daily planning that you like, do that.
You will more than likely gravitate towards a system that feels comfortable to you on daily planning. There is more than one right way to do daily planning. You will always be truggling with how much is too much to try to tackle in one day, and how much is not enough. Think back to the all-you-can-eat buffet analogy. Metaphorically speaking, get enough done so that you get your money's worth, but not so much that you get that bloated, "I shouldn't have done that"feeling. Regardless of whether or not you have the proper balance in your daily planning, what is infinitely more important is meeting the goals you put in your weekly attitude indicator. Think like a highly-effective and happy executive and/or mom. Congratulate yourself for getting the big stuff done—the vital and impactful few items that lead you to your mission—and dont sweat the never-ending smaller stuff.
Consider what you accomplish each time you live according to your goals in your weekly attitude indicator. You will have piloted your life to a culture of being more and not just doing more. That was the goal. You will come out of that holding-pattern feeling. You will weave your warp of character and weft of activities and goals, and you will ill help your family members do the same. You will make improved contributions in your other roles. you are divine. A mother's (and father's) work is priceless. The role of a parent is the most important role any person can have. The impact of parenting is immediate and will last for generations. I express my deepest appreciation for moms all over the world. You are wonderful. You are a living Inspiration.
This has been quite a journey (or flight) that we have taken together. This has been more than just about time, time management, or time-management tools. It is really about knowing how to use time to deliberately weave Where is the Life we have lost in living? Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?
