We must stop the jungle justice now✋✋

I wept almost profusely when a friend of mine sent these pictures of some criminals that were caught and burnt alive in their locality for stealing some amount of money in a foiled robbery attempt.

Tears dropped down my cheeks seeing these young men who are filled with so much vital energy being wasted in this way that has all but left everyone talking as regards why issues like this will still continue to have its way freely in our society as if it was a norm.

Regrettably, the government of the day has done little in putting an end to this kind of a social disturbance and an eyesore that would forever go down in history as an act of a careless governmental check on her citizenry's wellbeing.

Sadly though, what we have failed to realize is that those we have taught of being the future of tomorrow have on a repeated occassions being killed in cold blood that i'm beginning tp question the rationale behind being called the future of tomorrow when it's very obvious we are destroying the things we've helped built.

It shall not be forgotten that in my own position as a rationale being, i have not in any way possible supported the fact that crime committing of any sort is good let alone when it's committed on a bigger front as this but what iam rather saying is that hence one commits a crime that are against the law of the land, then, the punishment for such offence commiters should only be primarily left for the authorities in charge to for see the punishment of such offenders and not left in the hands of the angry mobs who inturn wastes no time in seeing an end to such offenders untimely.

Therefore, it is a matter of urgency on our parts if we can put an end to all these acts of violence against humanity as everyone whether a law breaker or not deserves a fair hearing at the court of law and this ugly situation has brought a lot of questioning on the due position of the judiciary being the last hope of the common man and the quick response of the police in ensuring that the mobbing boys and girls do not put justice into their hands unlawfully.

If by chance this is how we wish to continue with lives wastefully, then i can officially guarantee you that time shall come when we lack all the neccessary man power to even strike a match stick in our country Nigeria as all those who could have been readily available in doing such would have all been painfully cut short in death due to this high rate of jungle justice that seems to be very much on the increase.

These days however, just at the site or shout of a thief ole! ole!! ole!!!( a common and local way of raising an alarm when a thief is seen) it is not very unusual for you to see everyone both the young, the old and even the handicapped in our midst all take up objects rushing after the thief just to have him killed and such a barbaric action has increased my curiosity as regards where is the love we so claim to have for one another?

Why and how we've taken laws into our own hands have left me so perplexed in a country that boast of itself as having a capable hands in the areas of needs especially as this one reveals.

I guess we have all gotten it wrong and i can clearly tell us that hence such a barbaric act of absurd stupidity is allowed to float in a big system as this, then i can assure you that we are all but a failed society given our backwardness and a lack of understanding in the current behavourial aspects of life that clearly distinguishes another country and also another's country men and women from the rest others.

Where of course is the love is the question i'm asking? What has suddenly gone wrong with our correction centres that we no longer find it fitting to have these ones corrected in such correction centres instead of allowing them meet their untimely death in a jungle justice approach by some angry mobs? Only time will tell where such a terrible act of carnibalism will lead us all to😡

Except we cushion this effect, then that which i still fear the most may yet happen while all the attempts at leveling up globally will remain a mirage of dreams that will never ever be actualized owning to our brain drains that have indeed opened up the doors for a capital flight as much as our blood guilt hands that kept taking the lives that we never helped made.

Untill we learn to borrow a leaf from the other countries that have successfully lived themselves above this social menace will our problems become a thing of the past both now and in the future times to come.
