It all seems like we've been involved more and more in a battle of thrones, authoruty as the ceaseless wield of such powers have these days been misdirected at the wrong channels.
Take It or leave It, the citizenry have been made to pay dearly in all forms of governmental failures arising from being either partisan in their polity or a wishful poor policy implementaion that have so far gone beyond human imaginations.
What i'm trying to say here is that the citizenry at all levels of politiking have been failed beyond all reasonable doubts and such melancholic situations have further worsened and degenerated into somesort of violence in a repriesal attack given a sudden build up of "an enough is enough campaign" as the only way out of these whole mess.
It is no longer news looking at the situation of things all over the country, starting from the poor road network the citizenry are being harshly subjected to, to the constant general abuse of governmental powers by the few priveleged officials that are tasked with the many responsibilities to provide, produce and protect its citizens rights to live, vote and be voted for, as much as the right of the feelings of being loved or the feelings of having a sense of belonging.
These sorry state of the country and her citizens have really overwhelmed those on the outside world as questions have been asked while the corresponding answers for which such questions were asked have not been met or given as the case may be.
As a matter of urgency, a government should be formed with the mindset to listen, obey, provide and then act according to its citizens interests and hence such aims and objectives are not met, then i fear that is not to be called that established institution called a government.
How it all started
Looking back to the days of protests given some poor government decisions that were challenged by the citizens at that time, the situation became a more hard to take one as the entire streets and roads were filtrated by virtually every citizen in a demonstration for what it called the police brutality which became even far worse than the great world war1 hahaha..laughable is my statement right?
During that period, many lives were lost and properties that were worth several millions of dollars ($) got razed from the inferno that was caused due to the political unwillingness and unreadiness in addressing the issues at that time. Let's also not forget that such was the case with America but at this point, what we saw of America was a complete elite society that was able to handle their problems aright but in the other side of the world where such was a similar case, the police rather resulted in more and more violence while they took lives at will without any form of remorse whtsoever and when investigated, the government of the day did place such an order to do so hence the wastages and blood bathing effects we all saw, How cruel!
Yesterday's scene of almost a repitition of the past events
Yesterday, I got ready for work as usual and while I tried waiting for a cab to convey me down to my work place, little did I know that the only reason why I wasn't getting anyone was due to the violence that the police have again engaged themselves with the popular commercial motorcycle workers locally known as "okada riders" in a conflict that had already left two policemen dead and scores of okada men and some innocent citizens dead and injured.
As you can see from the above picture I took yesterday, what you can see here are people matching to their places of work on foot without the presence of any cab or buses to convey them to their respectful places of endeavour amid gun shots that were heard all over the place by the police.
I guess I took the risks of capturing these ugly scenes rather than running down to a place of safety first as the bullets that were sporadically released into the crowd had no feelings of a "brotherhood". Yes, it has no such feelings that is why it can claim the life of even the one who shoots it out today by tomorrow.
Across the other side of the road from where i have taken this picture, we can see a host of abandoned cars on the road as the drivers all took to their heels in fear of being hit by any stray bullet whasoever, though some still had their drivers in them but you can imagine the long wait for the easiness of the heavy traffic congestion such an unrest has caused on the usually free roads.
There were several road barricades as the popular street urchins that are locally known as the "Area boys" have hijacked the situation and began to loot shops and rob unsuspecting law abbiding citizens of their valuables like phones and other gadgets that commands handsome amount of money.
I was even lucky at this point cos i was able to have made my way past that scene of robbery but not entirely free though as there were more troubles in front than i have ever thought of.
The ugly situation continued until at that point when I managed to have boarded a tricycle that is locally known as "keke napep" in order to see if I could still manage to navigate through to work but to no avail as that even seem worse off than when I had initially being on foot scrambling to ensure I remain safe.
I took this picture from the middle seat where I was seated while in the tricycle (keke napep). What can you make of this road, going by how stuck everyone is without any real hope of an escape? Time was wasted and up to the tone of 3hours here on this same road, how frustrating that was imagening you were to be found in this mess isn't it?
The sorry state of the difficult and annoying situation yesterday wrecked a lot of havoc especially for many a market man and woman who had to also run back to their houses as the police who now seem more and more reinenforced then came yet again with another form of intimidation as they carried guns to harass and arrest virtually everyone they can hold unto without minding if such person was part of those wrecking the havoc or not and at that time, I had jumped down from the tricycle and also taken to my heels cos I fear the worse case scenario as these stern looking faces i have seen on the police men's faces are all a clear indication that they've been asked to shoot at sight.
Hey! You know what that command to shoot at sight really means huh? Don't ever take it for granted especially in a third world nation like this one hmmmn! I guess someone would listen to me and judge right here.
On the next possible action I took was getting home in the next avialable and shorter route to my house though I have at this point engaged in a telephone conversation with my boss and employer who gladly responded to me with a well done word as even he himself had managed to escape death some few moments back cos he had been involved in such an ugly scene as did myself too
Yea😊 I just got home that yesterday as my own area still remain very cool and calm as you can see from the picture above. I really thank the good lord in ensuring it all went well afterall. Atleast, i'm still here and alive creating a post for everyone to read from.
Good morning all!

There's no doubts that we've really been involved in a battle or game of thrones just like you rightly said at the introductory part of this article. I really do appreciate the fact that you were able to get the needed info as regards this and that you stood your grounds ensuring you bring it out on a brighter note for a proper and easy understanding. Life in Nigeria for sure have taken a big twist and hence that's the case, then be expecting the worst to happen in the coming days/years as all levels of governments have failed us all in everything. Take for example, the tweeter ban for almost a year now and no one seems to be saying anything about it. This ban of tweeter remember was necessitated as a result of the government is the day's unwillingness and unreadiness to accept any form of criticisms which in all suggests to which extent it is shallow minded and not in anyway committed to the interest of its citizens in all ramifications. I fear the worst to come but guess what, we shall all overcome and win. Lovely article from you @sammy1. Most times, I'm used to wondering about your surge to life here and how nicely you've been performing over time that are sewn from your lovely articles down to your sweet posts and all that. Keep winning brother
