Life is indeed not worth living anymore going by the far and high break down in the common standards of life which is the more reason why we have come to have an increased decay of health and a high mortality rate that seems to be more on the increased.

I was on a bus traveling to the Eastern parth of Nigeria where i hail from and on getting mid way to my own state of origin, i was greeted with the most absurd and a ramsackled, decayed and a dirty life style that seems to be reducing the people to mere chaffs and riddles of jokes and those of a laughing stock.

As i was taking the pictures from the driver's side where i was seated in front of the bus as you can see my reflection in the bus right side mirror, i noticed that i could hardly breathe as the air was totally filled with the much unbearable dark coloured toxic fumes from the dead, decayed vehicles that are not road worthy, yet they ply our routes as if that is normal.

The smell from the well disorganised refuse disposal centres that are spread across pesdestrian places and motor ways almost made me throw up and mind you, my joyful experience traveling on the way as that was my hobby, got all messed up by the sight of all the anormalies my eyes saw.

Even the absence of a well defined gutters did worsen matters so much so that waters from the gutters were flowing freely across the roads as many commuters and passersby all had to struggle with such challenges on a daily basis.

People were forced to climb on top of the huge refuse waste that were poured on the road as all pedestrian places have been covered by all refuse waste thereby giving no choice of a clean or free walk way but to end up walking on top of the refuse, can you just imagine such rubbish?

The government's failed approach to situations like this.

My worry and anger at the improper and poor implementation of things raised my curiosity to an exten that i had to quickly inquire from a man on why these environmental decay and health threatening harzadous pose of dangers to life in the forms of such huge magnitute of waste that were seen here and there, and here are his words; "my dear the thing tire me no be smell o as everywhere just dey like say na decayed dead body. The worst be say, the government no even care at all". When translated in english, what he siad to me reads; " i am so tired of the situation here given the amount of smell that is usually oozing out of it and that the government doesn't seem to be doing anything at all about".

After the answer to my question, he then hissed and left very much a frustrated man owning to the poor nature of things in a state that has a government spearheading its daily activities yet none could be seen of it.

The most and frustrating aspect of it all to me is that of the fact that such improper and poor disposal of refuse waste are rightly placed in front of traders shops where they do their usual daily buying and selling without minding the health implications such dastard act of negligence and those of a dirty behaviour would have on the traders and all those coming to buy their products from them.

My heart bleeds!😭😭

The poor nature of things especially on the very part of the government have given the impundence of a free ride in the society as most persons now do everything they feel like doing and doing boldly knowing fully well that no one, just know either checkmates them, or no one cares or would even question the rationale behinde their very poor and dirty behaviours over time.

Iam honestly not happy with the situation of things here, as i want to use this medium of communication to call on the government and stake holders to please respond to this critical call of mine and those salvaging the people from what I perceive to be a potential wastage of precious lives in the future if such ugly behaviour and dirty ways of living is allowed to have a continued stay amongst us, otherwise, that which i still fear the most, may yet chance.👌

This is a common issues in Nigeria. People are making it worse as well by turning everywhere into deposits for wastes. Something really needs to be done

It´s really saddening to see surroundings in a poor state like this to the extent that people have to start walking on refuse. Though the government aren´t doing their best, human beings also should try their best to make such places like that clean. We are also the cause when we continue to dump refuse at a wrong place. There is nothing bad in gathering them together to burn them. With that, it will make the dumping ground lessen with refuse.
