Nature in Syria is varied between the plains, the desert, coastal and mountainous areas, such as the famous Qassioun Mountain, and the best time to enjoy the landscape in Syria is spring, because the summer is hot and the winter is very cold, and these are some examples of nature in Syria:
1- Valley of the tombs
It is a valley in which the Palmyrene bury their dead, and it is an arid desert region, located on the outskirts of Palmyra, which was ruled by the powerful and beautiful Queen Zenobia, and historical graves can be seen scattered in this valley, and in addition to enjoying a historical trip, the desert environment in Palmyra is wonderful and enjoyable.
2- Al-Hosn Castle in Homs
The Homs Citadel is located on a hill with a height of 700 meters above sea level, and it is one of the wonderful features of Syria because it is isolated from the city. This castle is considered one of the most important remaining castles in the world, and it was built in 1031 during the time of the Crusades.
3- The city of Lattakia
Lattakia is one of the aspects of nature in marine Syria, and it is a popular tourist destination for those who like to enjoy the beaches of the Mediterranean, and for those who like to practice marine sports, and it has many modern means of recreation and entertainment not found in other regions.
4- Kasab
It is one of the most attractive mountain cities in all natural areas in Syria, and most of the inhabitants of this town are Christians and Armenians, and many of the residents of the cities of Aleppo and Lattakia kept their country houses in Kasab; To spend vacations there, tourists come to earn a lot in the summer, and there are many hotels, restaurants and shops, and in recent decades the city has become only a resort, and the country houses have been restored in it.
It meets in Kassab more than one place that illustrates the beauty of nature in Syria, in addition to being a mountainous region, in gaining dense forests that make it more attractive, and there are many lakes near it, which overlook the Mediterranean Sea, and can be accessed through the village of As-Samra. One of the most beautiful natural areas in Syria to walk among the trees and calmly.
5- Al-Samra village
The journey to the wonderful village of Samra is a difficult one, and tourists need a whole day to reach it, because it is completely on the border between Syria and Turkey, but nature in it deserves all the effort. At first the tourists set off from the city of Lattakia, and after 45 minutes or an hour they reach the village of Kasab, and after arriving the tourists either take a car there or continue walking towards the west,
and the road is very beautiful and full of trees, upon reaching the top of the hill, there are six kilometres remaining to reach the quiet village Samra .
Most of the inhabitants of the village of Samra are Armenians, and it has a small restaurant in the village and another on the shore of the Mediterranean, and is actually located in Turkey.
6- Ras Al-Basit and Al-Badrosyeh resorts
Among the most beautiful natural areas in coastal Syria, the most advanced are the resorts of Ras Al-Basit and Al-Badrosia, which are named after the two rural towns near them, and the waters here are turquoise blue, and most of the beaches' sand on the northern side has black sand, and lush vegetation grows in them, and these resorts are crowded with tourists in summer But in the winter it's almost empty, and these two resorts tend to host families.
There are remains of an ancient castle near Ras Al-Basit, ruins from the Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader periods, as well as ruins from later periods, but its most obvious history dates back to the Byzantine period.
7- Bloudan and Zabadani
Al-Zabadani and Bludan are one of the aspects of nature in rural Syria, and they are two towns bordering Damascus, located in the mountains in the northwest. The two areas are famous for being the most popular holiday destination in Damascus, and they are famous for the beautiful nature and the moderate climate in the summer, and they are an escape from the intense heat in the capital. Winter often brings snow here.

8- Islam Tower village

The beaches of Burj Islam are stony white, and it is located between white cliffs, and its waters are turquoise blue. The Islam Tower is visited by tourists who tend to adventure and swim to one of the small islands, unlike other coasts with sandy beaches that people visit for calm and relaxation, and Burj Islam is one of the most natural areas in Syria that deserve a visit because it is a unique place, and has stunning views.
Most of the residents of Islam Tower village are Turkmen, and along the coast there are only two restaurants, because they are not much developed, and in times outside the summer the two restaurants are usually closed.
