October 16,Sunday, 2022Somoy TV is the largest YouTube TV channel in Bangladesh. The channel, which has about 17 million subscribers, was hacked by a cryptocurrency hacker yesterday afternoon. After the channel was hacked the channel was renamed to ethereum 2.0
After Somoy TV was hacked, the channel started sharing a live video with a picture of Vitalik Buterin on the channel. Although the live video did not have any other sound or video film except Vitalik's picture.
Since 2020, I have been watching various sports news from our country and abroad by subscribing to ETV channel. Apart from Somoy TV, there are more than fifty TV channels in our country, but the most popular TV channel. One of the reasons why this TV channel is popular with everyone is that Somoy TV actively collects news from different parts of the country, where other news channels do not work so actively.
Within an hour of hacking the TV channel though somoy tv company was able to recover their channel but what did the cryptocurrency hackers indicate by this hacking? Such a question remains!
A few days ago a report was published on this television where they presented how to protect their country from cyber attacks. What steps should we take to deal with cyber attacks and even we should take some special steps to prevent YouTube channels from being hacked.
But shortly after publishing such reports, their own and country's largest YouTube channel was hacked. Basically, only one hacking link has been used behind such a big TV channel hacking. Pissing link is a link that is given to a YouTuber through email, if he clicks on the link, then the control of the browser of the computer that opened the link goes to the hands of the hackers. This is mainly done by controlling the cookies used in the browser itself. Then using that browser can easily take control of the YouTube channel by resetting the password of the YouTube channel. Also, he can hack various important information used in the browser, bank information, credit card information and even personal documents. Later they took a lot of money through blackmail.
But YouTube itself helped them to reset the YouTube channel due to Somoy TV being very popular.
It's disturbing to know that once they have access into your gadget, they even can set up password. Are they now on air again? Maybe that person loves ETH 2? Lol
