Life is only a few weeks
Butterflies, considered part of the beauty of nature, usually do not live very long. The life of an adult butterfly is limited to only 1-2 weeks. There are four stages in the life cycle of a butterfly - egg, larva, pupa or chrysalis and becoming a butterfly.

As the temperature in the butterfly's habitat begins to drop, so does their body temperature, and at some point the wings will no longer be able to match.
They can fly at temperatures up to 60-106 degrees Fahrenheit. However, a temperature of 62-100 degrees Fahrenheit is considered ideal for butterflies. They take refuge on rocks, trees or leaves when they are unable to fly in extreme cold. During this time they become easy targets for hunting.
Sight is not so sharp
Butterflies can't see very well from a distance of more than 10-12 feet, but they can see the ultraviolet rays that humans can't see. Butterflies play an important role in important tasks such as flower verification and mate selection for food collection. Research has shown that butterflies have at least 15 different types of photoreceptors! Each receptor is stimulated in a different color.
Disguise to avoid becoming predatory food
Butterflies are on the food list of birds, spiders, lizards and many other animals as they are lower animals in the food chain. Butterflies are the biggest weapon to escape from hungry predators as there is no other powerful way to defend oneself. They can easily avoid the eye of the prey if they can determine the shelter by matching the color and pattern of the wings.
However, some butterflies again use the exact opposite technique of camouflage. They somehow proclaim their presence through very strict color designs. Some very colorful insects are poisonous and are avoided by predators, and some butterflies try to take advantage of this.
