When one looks at something like Corn, one would immediately consider it as a vegetable that is either unhealthy or is considered junk due to it having lack of any nutritional value.
However, this is completely false as there are a lot of health benefits of having Corn. I am going to list some of the benefits of having Corn.
1. It has good carbonic compounds
Corn has a fair amount of fiber and fiber is good for the body as it can help prevent heart diseases, reducing risks of certain cancers, etc. And its all the more reassuring too since Corn is also a whole grain! In addition, it is also high in protein and carbohydrates as well which help the skin, bones, muscles, and maintain energy for the body.
2. It has many important nutrients
Corn is very rich in Vitamin B which is useful for the body for giving growth in red blood cells, good digestion, cardiovascular health, and many more. Just as how Carrots and Tomatoes have Vitamin A, so does Corn as it maintains the health for your eyes and can help develop good eyesight thanks.
3. Corn has many protective antioxidants
Corn has many antioxidants that are beneficial to the body. Lutein and zeaxanthin are useful pigments that Corn has to help protect your eyes. Other antioxidants include quercetin which helps to fight off acute and chronic inflammation.
4. Corn is Gluten-Free
And lastly, Corn is Gluten-Free! So if you have gluten intolerance or if you have celiac disease, then Corn is your safest option!
So these are the health benefits of Corn. The reason why some would not have Corn is because of the added things they put in the Corn which makes Corn very fatty in general such as adding butter to it or for adding masala to the corn when having Sweet Corn.
And another point to add. While this isn't exactly a health benefit, Corn is affordably to produce in many places so if you want something cheap, then Corn is the best option!
The corn is very delicious and healthy for our Health
