I hope you're all doing well, and may Allah Almighty bless you all. I wish to Allah Almighty that you and your family live happily ever after. I wish to Allah Almighty that you all live long and healthy lives, and that you are always happy.
How frequently do those who seek selective enforcement of narrow, selectively perceived, so-called rights and freedoms disregard, or reject, realities, needs, and the broader public health and safety of the rest of society? Why has being vaccinated and wearing a mask to combat this terrible pandemic become into a partisan political position? Isn't it hypocritical to oppose vaccines selectively and/or hypocritically? in this case, while mostly ignoring the numerous other vaccines that we must obtain, for example, for our children to attend school and, in most cases, for our dogs to be boarded? Isn't it strange that the world is dealing with the worst pandemic in over a century (and possibly ever), with so many infections and/or deaths, and the same people who demanded that our economy be reopened don't want to do their part to ensure that this can be done more effectively and expeditiously? With that in mind, the purpose of this essay is to briefly evaluate, investigate, review, and explain 6 reasons why immunizations and wearing masks make a significant impact for the better.
Protect one's self
Even if one is so self-centered that he doesn't care about the health and well-being of others, or the greater good, it would seem common sense to take these steps to protect one's self, and significantly reduce the chances of becoming ill with this virus, and, if one does, the severity and risks!
Protect family, friends and lovely one's
According to scientists, the virus is most dangerous to individuals who are immune-compromised in a number of ways! If we contract or transfer the illness to these people, we may be sentenced to death! In comparison to the possible repercussions and effects, it appears to be a mere nuisance!
Protect the community
We've learned that the vast majority of persons who have been badly sick with this virus have not been vaccinated! Isn't it reasonable to expect everyone to take some responsibility and contribute to the reduction of the spread?\
Significantly slow COVID
This virus, like many others, mutates over time if given the chance, and the best way to delay this process and deny mutations a place/ host to go/ live is to follow the public health precautions recommended by specialists and work together for the greater good!
Protect the elderly and immune-compromised
Don't we owe it to the elderly and those with immune-compromised conditions to do everything we can to protect them, and the best way to do so is to get vaccinations and boosters, and to wear a mask when indicated (especially indoors, in crowds, and/or in higher-risk areas, etc)?
