I saw this troll post in r/BTC which turned the history of Bitcoin into a small allegory in the form of a paradise and a kingdom that grew up from it.
I decided to flesh it out.
Once upon a time, the world was under fire. The kingdoms of the Old World have brought their wealth to near-nothingness while struggling to pay their citizens. But among these who were affected was a young scholar of the hidden mind, Satoshi Nakamoto. With his knowledge, he set out to search for fertile lands.
As he set out with his fellow scholars, one of those of computation, they had found paradise. And thus, on the third day of the new year, the first brick was placed and the land was christened as Bitcoin and the small group of followers called themselves the Kingdom of Satoshi. The guardsmen would help the scholars in creating the bricks for the founding house. The small camp grew, and as the days passed, more people have started to join the Kingdom of Satoshi, even those of common men. Slowly, the old world had seen this new kingdom as it grew.
Fearing for his life, Satoshi would soon disappear and placed his trust towards Gavin Andressen to lead the people that had grown from the small brick that was placed, the cornerstone of the kingdom. Some of his last words were those to plead the secret givers of the Old World to stop them from discovering the land of Bitcoin. Once he had vanished... Gavin, and the rest of the followers of Satoshi, rallied to create a council of men, those who know how to handle resources, and the wealth of the new kingdom.
As the years passed, the old world has recovered some of their wealth and saw the paradise that the Kingdom of Satoshi grew up upon. Sending upon their merchants to appease the council, the old world secretly wanted to take the land of Bitcoin and turn it as their own. One by one, the council Gavin had created would soon be corrupted by greed from the Old World, and in one final strike, Gavin was struck down and exiled.
Other smaller countries have also grown from the land of Bitcoin, which its citizens now call the 暗号通貨 (Angō Tsūka), or Angō as an homage to Satoshi, the founder. One of the well known smaller countries was called Dogecoin, as some of the Old World had taken a liking to the race of Shiba Inu and wanted to created something from such an idol. Another country that had risen was the secretive Monero which is a sanctuary for those who want to hide from the Old World and the Angō.
Back in the Kingdom of Satoshi, citizens of both Angō and Old World were traveling, visiting the sites. Some of the Old World's greatest has decided to set up shop within the Kingdom of Satoshi, such as Lord Gabe Newell of the Council of Steam. But the temporary streets Satoshi had placed were becoming too small to manage. Those who knew of the White Paper had decided to rally up to the council to plead. But the council, which they had called themselves Blockstream, had assured that the streets would hold.
Until they didn't.
Due to the multitude of users, the bridges towards the Kingdom of Satoshi implemented fees. The fees, which were originally a way to pay for those who had built the kingdom, were now the symptom that started just for a temporary precaution.
Blockstream heard the pleas, however, and called upon for a new law called Segregated Witness, in which the people's passports will be separate from their entries and usage inside the Kingdom of Satoshi, optional as it will be. The streets were no longer full to the brim, but there were still who think it shouldn't be. One of those, the brilliant scholar and builder Amaury Séchet, created a plan to pull a coup d'état to retake the Kingdom of Satoshi and build it better.
The plan was doomed from the start.
Amaury, with a small group who doesn't believe in the law of Segregated Witness's claims to widen the streets, attempted to take control of the Kingdom of Satoshi, but the guardsmen pushed them out and exiled as Amaury realized how corrupted Blockstream had become. Some of the guardsmen were swayed to join Amaury's side, but it was too little.
With the castle split after the coup d'état, Amaury had taken up to build a new castle, with the group of guardsmen settling on the name Republic of Bitcoin Cash, they placed the first brick on the ground.
Back in the Kingdom of Satoshi, the council of Blockstream rejoiced. They had shaken off the exiles off the ground, yet little did they know that people had flocked over to the Republic, including a well-known knight called Sir Roger Ver, who was one that claimed of the greatness of the Kingdom of Satoshi's paradise and wealth. What they didn't know is that he had left because they did not lean on their promise of widening the streets.
There was a problem with the guardsmen, however, as some of them have decided to guard both Kingdom and Republic. The new citizens of the Republic didn't like it, and Amaury has settled for a new law to fix it. It has lessened, but it was enough for the time being.
The Republic grew not in population, but on its technological advancement. With another group of scholars and guardsmen supporting the cause for the Republic, the country grew in might as the leading group of scholars collaborated for the greater good.
Only merely a few months, a false Satoshi, one that led Gavin to his eventual exile, claimed that the Republic of Bitcoin Cash should stick to the original laws of the White Paper. Amaury disagreed, and thus came the Republic's first split. It has then been realized that the rest and Amaury saw that social attacks both the Old World and the Kingdom were being sent, discouraging new citizens to join the Republic.
But the Republic held firm as its pillars of scholars grew in might. The first group had called their faction the ABC, which stood for Adjustable Blocksize Cap. The second group was once known as Unlimited. Smaller groups had attempted to build the republic, but only a few that remind. A foreigner from the land of Go had placed a foothold which helped the Republic grew, as it meant that the White Paper was able to be understood by many. The Republic had grown more naturally than the Kingdom.
Roger Ver had become an idol in this community, being able to deflect the defenses of the attacks of the Old World and the Kingdom.
ABC, the sole deliverer of the law others implemented in their lands, as such started to be corrupted on the power that it grew up upon. They had started to rebuke and become hostile to their fellow scholars.
As years passed, the Republic of Bitcoin Cash was self-sustaining, and yet ABC was noticed to want to earn more. Their presentation of such an idea was met with success, yet ABC wasn't given any donation, for ABC had disrespected those that exchanged their wealth with the Old World. For this, they created the Infrastructure Funding Plan, a new law that required its guardsmen to pay a small tribute to ABC.
The guardsmen were not willing and a group fo ABC's scholars created the BCHN, and so the law was not passed.
It is the middle of the month, and a scholar named Jonathan Toomin presented his new law proposal to be able to properly hinder the guardsmen who merely wanted profit to stop them from jumping from countries to countries. Amaury, who created the law that mitigated most of it, had coincidentally created their proposal, and seeing Toomin's own, moved to copy a few of its vital presentations and present it as the final law without approval.
The council meetings saw the holes in his law and a multitude of scholars, guardsmen, and citizens rallied behind Toomin's proposal, who himself showed the negative results if it was set in place.
Defeated, Amaury moved to accept the Republic's action, with only one problem.
He has finalized the law, and with the law was Toomin's proposal was another clause. Amaury had decided to force a fee to the guardsmen who created the bricks.
The Republic of Bitcoin Cash, still united against the Grasberg DAA, is not amused. Or so says the citizens within the united front. Even the scholar Sir Gregory Maxwell who was one of Blockstream's highest and was known to desire a split within the Republic was not letting it go as he showed the results if ABC pushed against the Republic.
Nonetheless, as a citizen who had read this history, this isn't over yet.
The guardsmen/miners need to know what their fundings will head towards.
The scholars/developers should be able to handle the brunt of developing it and should be rewarded.
The citizens, us users of Bitcoin Cash, should not be neutral in this war.
For the money exchangers, they will be the judges.
The Old World/Banks know how much dangerous Bitcoin is.
This is my side, and my side wants the chain pure from greed.
