To be candid, teaching profession is a tedious one. It requires total commitment, determination and faithfulness. To be a teacher, you must be committed to your students. It's important to give them necessary and due attention. Teachers just don't leave their below average student alone to fail. Rather, they will commit themselves into shaping that student into a better one, both in studies and morally.
If teachers ain't determined to help their student's lives, they won't be committed. Students will low marks will continue to have low marks and the leading ones will continue to lead. Their determination to help their students like their children pushes them to remain committed.
When teachers only work to earn more money and get a respectable post, students will be affected. A teacher who doesn't care about the well being of his or her students isn't faithful to the profession. It's normal and okay to want to earn more money. But, when the priority of a teacher is more important than the value he or she is expected to impact into the students, such a teacher is not faithful. A teacher who isn't faithful won't be determined nor committed to his or her job.
Presently, I understand the fact that teaching work isn't a child's play. Last week, I started working in a private school and I can conveniently say that teaching job is damn stressful. Especial when you have some students who ain't rich, academically. I teach a primary class and four of my students can't read.
I had to stop their break period to teach them, personally. I started from scratch, with the alphabet then two letters word and three. We've been here since last week. Two of them have problems recognizing the letter "L, M, N". I was initially fed up,but I told myself that I must help them.
Honestly, it's been a rough journey, I can't see the improvement yet. But, I'm hoping the improvement will be soon. The break period which is supposed to be my rest period and their play time has turned to extra lesson time.
To all brave teachers out there, I respect you. I salute you courageous act and determination to make the world a beautiful place through your teachings. You guys are the real heroes, and without you, our society will be filled with illiterates and criminals. Thanks for the morals and values instilled in us. We really appreciate you all. To those disrespecting teachers in one way or another, do well to turn a new leaf. They are our real parents.
