Who Is The Inventor Of Bitcoin - And Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto?
So, who is the inventor of Bitcoin? It is almost certain that Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin in 2009. However, no one has the connection of a name to an actual person or group. In 2011, Nakamoto disappeared from the internet with no clues as to who they were. Since then, a string of people have said Satoshi has no evidence to back up their claims.
Works on Bitcoin began as early as 2007 according to Satoshi at an early Bitcointalk forum. It was 2 years before the first block was mined. The genesis block was mined on January 3, 2009 and Satoshi himself was the miner. However, he was unable to spend 50 rewards of Bitcoins due to a quirk in expressing the code.
According to a BitMEX Research report in the early days of mining, someone mined 700,000. Many have considered Satoshi but remain unnoticed.
Who is the Inventor Of Bitcoin? False Claims to Satoshi Nakamoto
Satoshi's true identity will attract worldwide fame. Not to mention the immense wealth that will stand to collect. Because of this, many people say Satoshi.
The first and most prominent case is Craig Wright, an Australian academic. Wright says back in early 2015 when he first tried many of the many public demonstrations. His 'incontrovertible evidence' has been unsuccessful to this day. In fact, it has been proven to be fabricated.
Dorian Nakamoto, a California citizen was given the title 'Bitcoin creator'. A newspaper reporter noticed the similarity between the two Nakamoto's starting with their surnames. Dorian himself disagreed with the claims.
Suspected Scientists And Cryptographers
Cryptographers and computer scientists were not spared. Hal Finney, a well-known cryptographer and the first person to receive BTC from Nakamoto was the first suspect. Finney was one of the very first people involved in the space. For less than a year after the creation of Bitcoin, Hal Finney and Satoshi exchanged many posts in discussion forums. Finney died in 2014 from ALS.
Nick Szabo is a well-known cryptographer and creator of Bit Gold, a digital currency invented before Bitcoin. While there is no evidence that he was tied to the creation of Bitcoin, his project is very similar to BTC.
Why Nakamoto Chooses Identity
There are many reasons Nakamoto chooses to remain anonymous. Such creation without a central point of failure requires anonymity. Nakamoto knew he was the ultimate middle point of failure. And the rest of the anonymity is crucial to its democracy. Removing the single identity that can be attributed to its arrival removes the single face of influence.
Whoever Satoshi is, there is no doubt that they are a true genius of our time.
