You can get a lot of health benefits if you sleep well enough. According to Health line, getting enough sleep helps boost your brain functions related to thinking, concentration, productivity, and performance.

According to one study, a person's mind is slowing down if he or she is not getting enough sleep. Sleep deprivation can also have a significant effect on your mood. If you notice, you will become more irritable and have less patience.

Also, people who do not get enough sleep are at greater risk for heart disease and stroke.

The other benefits of getting enough sleep

It enhances memory

Do you notice that you are becoming more forgetful? You may lack sleep and rest. According to studies, sleep is the time for your brain to process everything you learn that day.

When you are asleep, your brain gathers all the new information you can use for the next few days. If you do not get enough sleep, it will not be good to 'store' your brain. This can result in being forgotten.

It relieves stress

When you lack sleep, your body will produce more stress hormones. In today's fast- paced environment and the demands of work and family are overwhelming, getting enough sleep can help you not get overwhelmed and stressed out by the amount of work you do.

People who regularly get enough sleep are also in a better mood.

It strengthens the immune system

With so many diseases nowadays, you really need to strengthen your immune system. The more vigilant you are, the more likely you are to become infected.

In your sleep because your body produces additional protein molecules that boost your immune system. If you are sleep deprived, you are also lacking in protein molecules — you are faster to assemble or transport.

It helps maintain your weight

While it won't slow you down from sleep, it can help you maintain the weight you want.

Sleep helps to regulate the hormones in your body that directly affect your cravings.

Sleeping is a vital part of our life because we're like being recharged after a long day of work and different activities. I remember back in college we had a lot of paper works to do and I literally didn't get any sleep for 26 hours and I feel like I'm on cloud nine lol

Getting enough sleep is good, but too much sleep is bad I think because when I'm in senior high school I sleep about 13 hours and 5 hours in midnight and I woke up at 9:00 AM then sleep again 12- 14 hours and my brain is like nothing to do but sleep, I don't want to move anymore and I want to sleep.
