Horror movies or ghost stories often show a dead person sitting up or moving his arms and legs.

But if this happens in front of you in real life, what will happen? Most people will think that the spirit of the horror movie has come or that this event must have been a miracle.

However, according to modern science, this phenomenon is not a miracle. Rather it is considered to be a general reflex action of the human body.

In medical science, this reflex is called Lazarus reflex. It is more common in people with brain death. When a person dies, his or her internal organs may still be active, and a response from the spinal cord, called the Lazarus reflex, develops. The difference with the general reflex is that it occurs through the human spine. Where normal reflexes are controlled by the brain and spinal cord. Examples of Lazarus reflexes are movement of the limbs of the dead patient, sitting up, trembling of any part of the body, etc.

So, in reality, if you encounter such an event, there is no reason to panic.
