One of the essence of the fast of Ramadhaan is to have one's sins forgiven. This is why the three ahaadeeth of Ramadhaan mentioned forgiveness of sins for:
-those who fast with eemaan and hopes for rewards
-those who observe qiyaamul-layl with eemaan and hopes for rewards, and
-those who witness Laylatul-Qadr with eemaan and hopes for rewards.
This three-step process is meant to ensure at least one of the three would guarantee forgiveness of sins. So, if your fast is deficient in whatever way, your qiyaamul-layl should make up for it, and if that too is deficient, witnessing Laylatul-Qadr should make up for it. Keep this in mind when making du'aa before, during and after 'eed celebrations, it's never too late with Allaah, عز وجل.
Also, as we celebrate today, please ponder over the following quotation, we ask Allaah to increase us in happiness and joy. Imaam ibn Rajab Al-Hanbalee (رحمة الله تعالى عليه والرضا) said: " 'Eed is not for the one who wears new clothes, 'eed is for the one whose obedience increases. 'Eed is not for the one with beautiful clothes and fine means of transport, 'eed is for the one whose sins are forgiven."
We ask Allaah to forgive us, purify us, heal us and heal our world and count us among those He's pleased with, aameen.
Wishing you and your family sincere congratulations and blessings on witnessing this blessed 'eed of breaking the fast. We ask Allaah the Protector, the Mighty, the Majestic, to make our days be filled with joy and happiness. And to make us and the entire Muslim Ummah witness many more years full of goodness, blessings, health, peace and security. May Allaah accept from us, all our righteous deeds and acts (aameen).
