She saw him. At the library. Sitting alone, in a corner, hiding the pain, the suffering, behind his weak smile, beneath his hoodie. His hair were a mess, like his life, his eyes a bit red due to crying, dark circles under his eyes, due to lack of sleep,during restless and depressed nights. He was scribbling something in his notebook.
She casually approached him. Sitting beside him, she peeked over his shoulders, for a glance at what he is writing. She wasn't able to make out the written words, because they were incomplete and mixed up just like his thoughts. He didn't seen to notice her until she said Hi. He looked up, forcing a weak smile. Struggling, he let out a faint reply. She started a conversation, in an attempt to lift his mood and to cheer him up. He was replying with all the little energy left. She tried to talk him into venting his heart out and he did a bit.
His eyes started to get red and wet, and he suddenly cut off with an, "Excuse me", rubbed his eyes and started towards his room. She quickly gathered her stuff and thoughts and followed him. She was thinking about her feelings and her heart began to beat faster as she paced up, to catch him. She called him, he ignored and carried on. She ran and caught him. Her heart pounding. She faced him, feeling nervous. He still managed a weak, faint smile. She looked him in the eyes and finally spoke, " LOOK, I don't know how I'm saying this. I've wanted to say this for quite a time now.
I want to be the soothing sunshine, on your dark days, the shining star on your black nights, the source of heat and motivation, when you feel cold and down, the ray of light which brightens up your mood and your soul. I want to be the one, who stands by you, all the time, supports and holds you together when you are broken and sad, the one who enjoys your company, all the time, the one you feel overjoyed and comfortable with, the one who will change your life.
I will always be there for you, no matter the circumstances, no matter what, you will always find me, healing, supporting, loving, holding, cuddling and caring for you.I LOVE YOU !!, YOU ARE THE BEST". She said all of this in a single breath. Her face turned red and she looked down. He lifted her chin, hugged her and started crying. She was smiling. After a minute or so, she pulled him back, pressed her lips against his and both of them stood there smiling.
