All of the time
When crowds watched me
Laughing my lungs out,
I was sad.
In the very core of my weary existence
The looming pain swept thoroughly
Making my crippled heart bone-tired
So when the pain overflew
And spilled out of my eyes
I jammed it inside
In hollow places
Beneath my bones
And I polished my frazzled flesh
One more time
Just like a trivial's choice.
Shutting doors
On the face of my innermost
I wore a shining armor of laughter
And stepped out
leaving that haunted place behind
You call home.
