To boys like us
Our past a bunch of rotten tomatoes
Poverty was written in our skin
We bear sadness in our bone
And sorrows was in our breath
To boys like us
Whose life was unfair to us
Our clothes are coat of no colour
Songs of sorrow was our slogan
It was in our dream we eat first
To boys like us
That life was unfair to us
The world was against us
Death was our wish
Even our blood wrestled against our flesh
To boys like us
Visitors of sorrow came
And raped away our happiness
Our life was a debit account
Even poetry wept for us
Yet, we never stole from anyone
God no go shame us
Our story go change for good
