The COVID-19 PANDEMIC has challenged humanity in various aspects. Giving more emphasis on continuing the educational process despite the dreadful risk is far different from what we are used to. From face-to-face classes to online and modular learning, the educational set-up of the new normal is an epitome of fighting back despite the enemies trying its best to defeat us.
What is modular learning?
It is a learning modality that provides student's learning through giving them printed modules or self- learning materials. There is no face-to-face discussion and that replaced with independent study and individualized instruction for learners.
Why is it the most chosen learning modality?
We cannot deny the fact that in our country, Philippines, most of the students enrolled in public schools have no access on internet and don't even have gadgets for online learning that is why most parents preferred this type of learning modality.
In this time, lots of learners are complaining about this modular learning. Many learners are saying "It's difficult because we don't have teacher and there will be no discussions and further explanations". Parents and guardians are also taking this challenge as "dagdag trabaho" and additional burden for them.
This situation only proves how important and vital teachers are in learning process. They teach with patience, understanding and love, they teach not just from the book but from the heart.
Parents are now the new teachers at home. This time, they will discover their child's behavior in school, their interest towards learning and their capacities. Now is the time they can discipline their own child.

Even if others call for academic freeze, you still choose to continue. You are amazing, you really shown to us the true value of dedication, compassion, hard work and perseverance.
Remember that in times of uncertainty and doubt, just trust the process of the education system. Everything will back to normal in God's grace. Everything will be fine. Just hold on!
