Globalization: Diversification Towards Unity

The contemporary confluence of globalization and ethical pluralism is at the origin of many ethical challenges that confront business nowadays, both in practice and in theory. One of the challenges arising from the development of globalization, has to do with respect for cultural diversity...To the extent that cultural diversity is usually seen as a valuable reality, that global trend seems to contradict our efforts to respect ethical pluralism, both personal and cultural, within society.

Globalization enhances my ability to acquire and utilize knowledge. It enhances my ability as a learner to access, assess, adopt, and apply knowledge, to think independently to exercise appropriate judgment and to collaborate with others to make sense of new situations.

This helped my family reach each other easier through modern communication. It also enhanced our way of living as we can have more variety of small business to hold.

In many instances, quality of life has improved for those who live in developing nations. For many developing nations, globalization has led to an improvement in standard of living through improved roads and transportation, improved health care, and improved education due to the global expansion of corporations.

GlobalizationA led to:

(i) Availability of variety of products which enabled the consumers to have greater choice and enjoy improved quality and lower prices for several products.

(ii) This led to higher standard of living.

(iii) Increase in foreign direct investment.

(iv) Creation of new jobs in certain industries.

We are all different even in one country. Coexistence with other nations comes with advantages and disadvantages. However, I believe that difference is a natural occurance that we all need to learn to use efficiently. We are all different for a cause, and let's all use that to boost our lives as individuals and as group of people...thriving to live, seeking for betterment....for the better good and better lifestyle for all.
