Since we are now in the month of love. I decided to write this article on how we celebrate valentine's day even if we're single.

So, what is Valentine’s Day?

It is an annual festival to celebrate romantic love, friendship and admiration. Every year on February 14th, people celebrate this day by sending messages of love and affection to partners, family and friends. Couples send cards and flowers; they also spend special time together to honor their love for each other.

"Exciting. Stressful. Important. Over-celebrated."

People’s opinions about Valentine’s Day vary. Some think it’s great, others not so much. Flowers and chocolate are everywhere. Instagram and Facebook posts of presents and captions that express more feelings than most people care to read (no offense).

For some people it’s a day of unity and happiness, for others it’s a reminder of divisiveness and hurt.

But what if you haven’t found the one your heart desires yet? Does being single on Valentine’s Day mean you can’t participate in the one day a year set aside to celebrate love? Absolutely not.

Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers – many people actually celebrate Valentine’s day with friends. With some friends, you might give a card to say “Happy Valentine’s Day”, while with others you might go all out with a big party.

Why Valentine’s Day with friends might be even be better?

“There’s no room for being shy. Being with friends is all about having fun.”

You can talk without honorifics and being with friends makes you more comfortable hanging with them. Hanging out with friends is a very nice feeling, worry less and stress free.

“There are no romantic strings attached.”

There will be no awkward moments around with you, because most of us we feel uncomfortable when one of our friends brings their boyfriend/girlfriend. And for this we must respect our friends who are single.

“You’ll always be vibing with each other.”

Expect that your day will be filled with laughter, unlimited funny stories to tell and some chikas bought of your friends. Throwing punchlines here and there is enough to make your jaw sore. If the atmosphere become silent it is not an uncomfortable silent its just that you are resting your mouth from the unending laughter.

Here some ideas for different ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with friends and inspire you to create your own unique experience.

  • Food trip

As the saying goes by “Nothing brings people together like good food”. Every gathering, the foods shall not be absent because food is life. That’s why everyone must pledge some foods or gave some money to buy some foods or drinks.

  • Road trip (if you have a car or a motorcycle with a license)

When all of your friends are adventurous and have a license, this is a very nice feeling especially listening to some music while driving.

  • Heart to heart talk in the seashore with bonfire

If some of your friends are having a hard time like broken hearted or family problems, this is the perfect chance to talk with them. To help them ease their minds and so that they know that they have a person to lean on and trust.

  • Movie Marathon

Watching movies is fun especially when it is a horror, because it will become a comedy one and you started teasing one of your friends are scaredy cat.

  • Overnight in the house of your friend or in hotel

Expect that you will not sleep early or never at all, because it is full of enjoyment and laughter at the moment.

  • Singing with them

This is the very funny moment because some of your friend just creating his/her own lyrics not the original one they’ll sing. It may be an emotional or heartbroken song they pick because its their trip to enjoy the moment.

I hope that this article will help you how to celebrate your valentines with your friends, it is also suited this to your family. Valentines day are not just for the couples, this is for everyone because it’s a heart’s day and even though you do not have a romantic partner, always remember that you have a family and friends to celebrate this day. Do not rush finding someone because of the trends just always spend your time with your friends and family first.
