We have upgraded our upvoting groups detection. So, if you suddenly find that your points stopped and you are getting much less points than previously, that's upvoting groups detector in action. Some of the very top authors (getting 500+ points per day) got penalties for upvoting groups participation so severe that they'll be getting 0 points for at least 2 weeks after they stop doing upvote-for-upvote. Don't upvote something just because you know the author. Don't upvote because somebody in a Telegram/Facebook/whatever group told you to upvote it in exchnage for your upvote. Upvote only stuff that is worthy. We also now apply a virtual users fairness multiplier. If you have two accounts each of them would be getting half of the points it should have got. If you have three each gets a third. If you have more you'll get much-much less... Less points for cheaters, more points for the rest!

This is great. Obviously there was something fishy going on. Usually I upvote certain people as I get notifications but upvotes should be honest and for quality posts.

Oh wow, you did stop upvoting these guys... I'm impressed. Since the penalty stays for 2 weeks, you should see a recovery of your account within a week or so.

Good decision @read.cash. i got 0 point for 1week but i was waiting for the next and i am succed and i get 97points today. It is a fair step for users.

For this , i don't actually understand it because earlier in your posts (update in the welcome post) you made mention that multiple accounts are acceptable due to the topic difference you might want to write on but it has to follow specific rules . Are you talking of that rules ? Or something else please can you clear it for me? Thank you @Read.Cash.

Less points. Okay . What if one account is not as active as the other since you use the other account for a specific purpose and after you leave it. Because for me I use the other account for devotions and I post it barely everyday and it is this account that is actually use if such happens won't it cause something else? Because I have also made sure both accounts do not subscribe each other as well as follow all wthat is in the update. What about that ? Do I still get half of my points? @Read.Cash
I brought out one of these groups in my article few days ago to the notice everyone. Though personally I don't think I have any connections with any group doing upvote for upvote, my points stops moving for almost a week. It was yesterday that I started receiving points once again.
It's not related.
Maybe you been linked or interact with someone who have a case of Upvote ring groups.

Nice update.. But does this explain the reason for the decrease in points. I don't usually get as much points as I do. However, today was the first day I upvoted some one, and it wasn't an upvote-for-upvote.. Pls I need more clarity. Thanks alot .

I don't understand. Do you give a few cents to anybody who wants it? That's ok. On the other hand the exchange of upvotes between you and an.., bh.., de.., kl.., le... really got you into a trouble for at least next two weeks.

Hmm... I do upvote articles that seem interesting to me... Upvoting groups... Nah, I don't believe I am in any of that... But I do know users I invited here and they upvote my contents from time to time... But i also know non of my contents are bad and not upvote deserving... With these new update now I guess you guys @Read.Cash are discouraging upvotes because now we can barely tell how we would fall into this trap. Personally I don't think I would even upvote any one again since I don't know if I would fall into this trap doing so. I know I am no longer active here on read.cash because I am working on my own project, but I do like the contents here from some users and upvoting them is a way to show appreciation... But telling me I would be penalized for doing so doesn't really sound nice.
Well, we have 10,000 users and 50 users have been penalized today (0.5%). Only 10 user have been severely punished (0 points), rest are getting like 10-20% less points. We're pretty conservative here, but people have no boundaries if left unchecked. Some people have 30 virtual users(!) Thirty! (To clarify, 50 users penalized do not include those who have virtual users)
Recently, my points reduced.. Even today, my points stopped at a certain value for ours. Pls I want to know why? Because I do not participate in upvote-for-upvote . you can check my activities. Pls I expect ur reply
