A reason to upvote people's "first posts" on read.cash if you believe in Bitcoin Cash

It might seem unreasonable that we (read.cash) give paid upvotes to many posts where people simply introduce themselves. These posts add nothing of value, right?

We think it's pretty important for Bitcoin Cash ecosystem.

First of all, of course, its for people to feel welcome. Cryptocurrency communities have enough feuds going on to turn away any newbies.

But, there are even more important motives.

First of all, we never know if in giving away $0.10 or maybe $0.05, we'll onboard a lifetime supporter of Bitcoin Cash. That would be tremendous return on investment on some $0.10, don't you think?

The person who gets his/her first $0.10 in Bitcoin Cash for the first time is suddenly surprised that this magic internet money works. He/she just got paid over the Internet by a total stranger or even maybe by a group of strangers. It becomes much more real and much more interesting to research what magic is behind this Bitcoin Cash thing. How can I use these $0.10? Where to spend it? Maybe I can even upvote somebody here with it?

Second, we never know if in upvoting their first post we might recruit the best bloggers in the world. They might not even know it yet. This might be their first post in life, and a first small upvote gives them encouragement to explore and write more.

As the person writes more, she/he brings a little more content to read.cash, thereby bringing more people here via Google/DuckDuckGo, who will also discover Bitcoin Cash and why it's so cool.

This starts a snowball. The more people come here, the more people discover Bitcoin Cash, the more they write to earn more Bitcoin Cash, the more people encourage and support them, the more people they bring with them. Do you feel the snowball forming?

Won't this invite scammers? Yes, it might. It might make people want to create new accounts just to get $0.10.. but, usually it's pretty obvious when a person is authentic vs an attempt to grab some quick cents.

Therefore, we will continue to upvote most of the first time posts of our users and also encourage every participant in the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem to upvote newbies even if with just a few cents.

We need new users in Bitcoin Cash ecosystem and this is a perfect way to introduce new people: no wallets to install, no white papers to read - this can all come later, after a person gets some first money and see that this thing actually works.

Do our efforts bring anything? It seems so. Not as fast as we would've wanted, but steadily:

This is the number of different users who got upvotes in Bitcoin Cash via read.cash platform until today (Dec 12th). It's not a huge amount, we understand, but who knows, maybe even a few of them being newly made lifetime supporters can help in bringing peer-to-peer electronic cash vision closer to people.
