Todays updates are pretty small.

Custom amounts

You can change the default upvote amounts to your taste now:

As you can see I've added myself $0.25 button, but you can customize it as you want.

Verified users

So, today we've had an article, written by "Roger.Ver", which is not the account that Roger Ver actually uses. Since, it's going to be a problem soon - people impersonating official accounts - we've added a badge for important accounts:

The badge is also visible in "Written by" and "Comments" areas:

Any potential impersonators would be marked with a warning sign:

...or in case we know for sure that this user is not who they claim to be:

Comments

The visual distinction between potential imporsonation and verified impersonation seems weak. Is this instentional?

I mean... is a big red banner a "weak distinction"?

ah, right. my bad.

I was looking at the icon and seeing "red icon VS red icon with a circle around it".

The examples doesn't show how it works in comments etc though - is it a big fat banner there as well?

I like the way you have solved official and a potential impersonation, but it would be nice with a third level. With a big red banner: This account have been confirmed as impersonation!

Maybe it's also worthwhile to change the "default defaults", as their spacing is rather unequal. The following sequence is much more equally spaced on a logarithmic scale:

0.01 - 0.03 - 0.10 - 0.30 - 1.00

You can also use the more fine-grained euro coin sequence:

0.01 - 0.02 - 0.05 - 0.10 - 0.20 - 0.50 - 1.00

You didn't verify your own account yet!

I don't know, we really like the default defaults :) and everyone now has a choice to make it fit for himself.

You didn't verify your own account yet!

No plans to do that unless somebody starts impersonating :) We really don't want to have tons of blue badges around, since everybody would want it :)

I'm the real Jon Snow, the other one is a cheap impersonator. I started using read.cash today. So far so good. Greetings from Venezuela.

Hi, Jon! I'm not sure - who is the other one? We tried to find, but there's no one except you with "Snow" in the username.

When you have some time, could you check your website on Firefox on Android? The editor seems wacky. The cursor is jumping around when I use the arrows on a bluetooth keyboard for example, the page scrolls a bit strangely (especially in the comments editor) trying to keep the edited text in view. While typing the editor toolbar shows up whenever it feels like it, some characters are randomly swapped with another character in the word (as if it was written in the wrong order).

The scrolling behavior in the comment editor is a bit strange even in Chrome on Linux. For example it will try to keep the scroll so that the cursor is EXACTLY at the top of the window, which means that the moment it wraps to another line, it will move the previous line completely out of view, even though it would have been fine not to scroll at all. But it only happens if the comment is long.

We'll try, of course, but some things that you describe are the behaviours of the browser. For example - "some characters are randomly swapped with another character in the word" there's probably nothing we can do about it, just like, for example we can't do anything about bad cursor placement around inline code. It's a bug in browser that we can't fix. But I've noted it and we'll see what we can do.

Also, in notifications, I have to click on the actual text to go to where the notification would take me. But the notification is highlighted with a gray background even if my mouse is outside the text, which sort of hints that it should be already clickable but it isn't. Very minor issue but if you also don't like it, it should be easy to fix. :)

The gray background is actually there to see what a particular notification is. We can't make it all clickable, because there's a quick reply function inside and sometimes there are buttons (see persistent ones)

That's are cool updates you have here and to avoid mistakes from impersonators that are always trying to confuse our heads with their wishes, that was a good and efficient update! You are doing some pretty advances here👌
