ঘুম থেকে উঠেই তোমাকে পাশে বসে থাকতে দেখলাম! আমার অনেক দিনের ইচ্ছা তোমাকে ঘুম থেকে উঠে পাশে দেখবো! তুমি স্নান করে ভেজা চুলে তাওয়াল পেচিয়ে আমাকে ঘুম থেকে উঠাবে। ঘুম থেকে উঠালে ঠিকি। কিন্তু তোমার চুল ভেজা নয় এবং তাওয়াল ও নেই! আমি হঠাৎ দেখলাম তোমার হাতে একটি সোনালী রঙের কার্ড। তার উপর লাল রঙের জরির কাজ! বেশ সুন্দর। কার্ডটা দেখে আমি বুঝতেই পারলাম তা কিসের! খুব স্বাভাবিক ভঙ্গিতে উঠে বসে বললাম বিয়ে করছো নাকি? তো অনুষ্ঠান কোথায়? বেশি দূর হলে যেতে পারবো নাহ। এত ভাড়া নেই আমার কাছে! বাসে উঠলে মাথা ঘুরায়! তুমি চুপ করে আছো! তোমার ভেতরের কষ্ট এবং রাগ সব মিলে তোমাকে দেখতে অপুর্ব লাগছে! তবে চোখ ছলছল করছে পানি তে! এমন চোখ মানায় না তোমায়। আমি উঠে দাড়ালাম! তুমি হঠাৎ বললে আজি আমাদের শেষ দেখা নাহিন! কেন বিয়ের দিন আমাদের দেখা হবে নাহ? প্রশ্নটা বোধহয় খুব বেমানান হলো! তুমি উঠে চলে যাওয়ার বদলে সব মুখ বুজে সহ্য করছো কেন? আমি বললাম শেষ দিন যেহেতু চল আমরা আজ বের হই! কিছুক্ষন আকাশ দেখে আসি! নাহিন মায়া বারাবে? সবটা সময় আমি কি তোমার পরিক্ষার বস্তু?
তুমি নিজেই চাচ্ছো বের হতে! না হলে তুমি চলে যেতে! আচ্ছা চলো বের হই!

দুজন হাটছি সকাল ১০-১১ টার আকাশে দেখার মত কিছু নেই! তাই বোধহয় তুমি রাস্তার ভাঙা ইট গুলো গুনে গুনে হাটছো! আমি অবাক হয়ে তোমাকে দেখছি! তুমি পর হয়ে যাবে বলে কি তোমাকে বেশি সুন্দর লাগছে? ঠিক কানের পেছন দিয়ে তোমার কিছু চুল গেছে! ইচ্ছে করছে ইকটু ধরে দেখি!
কি দেখছো?
তোমার কানের পাশের চুল! হঠাৎ তোমার চোখ দিয়ে পানি গড়াচ্ছে। আমি বুঝতে পারলাম আমার চুল ধরার অভ্যাসটার কথা তোমায় কাদাচ্ছে! তুমি আমার হাসি মুখ দেখে বিরক্ত হচ্ছো! তাও বললে আমি কি তোমার হাতটা কিছুক্ষন এর জন্য ধরতে পারি?
আমি হঠাৎ বলে বসলাম "নাহ! "
তুমি অবাক হয়ে তাকিয়ে বললে কেনো?
অন্যকারো স্ত্রী কে আমার হাত দিবো নাহ! তুমি হঠাৎ আকুতি শুরু করলে! তুমি কাদতে কাদতে রাস্তায় বসে পরেছো! শুধু তোমার চাওয়া এই তুচ্ছো হাতদুটো কিছুক্ষন এর জন্য! আমি তোমার বাসায় ফোন করলাম! তোমার গাড়ি চলে এসেছে! নাহ আমি দিলাম না তোমায় আমার হাত টা ধরতে! শুধু যাওয়ার আগে তোমার চুল গুলো ইকটু ধরলাম!
এই যে তুমি চলে যাচ্ছো! তোমার চোখ বেয়ে পানি গড়াচ্ছে! কাজল এর কালো দাগে এলোমেলো তোমার চোখ! এত সুন্দর মানুষ হয়?
এমন কষ্ট হচ্ছে কেন আমার? ইচ্ছে করছে তোমায় আটকাই! বলি চল পালিয়ে যাই! কিন্তু বলছি নাহ! আমি কি কাদবো? হ্যা কাদছি আমি!
জানো আমি তোমায় আজ হাত টা কেন ধরতে দিলাম নাহ?
আজ হাতটা তোমায় ধরতে দিলে তোমার অনেক বড় একটা আশা পূরণ হয়ে যেতো! মানুষ আশায় বাচে! আবার মানুষ প্রশ্ন খুজে খুজে মারা যায়। তোমার মনে আমার হাত এর এই আশা টা তোমায় বাচিয়ে রাখবে! আবার হাত কেন ধরতে দিলাম নাহ এই প্রশ্নই তোমাকে মেরে ফেলবে! তোমাকে একি সাথে বাচিয়েই রাখলাম আবার মৃত্যুর পথও তৈরি করে দিলাম! তুমি ভালো থেকো ...
