"Being persistent may lead you to the door, but consistency is the only key that unlocks it"___Kenny Dasinger

What do we simply understand by the word consistent?

Let's try and examine it in a different perspective. Imagine that you have a seedling growing in a pot full of soil. You then decide to water it everyday in little amount just to ensure it's rapid growth. Slowly, the leaves start germinating and getting bigger and bigger day by day.

Or what if you in the other way round, you decide to keep it dry for a week and then pour an excess amount of water at the end of every week.

What do you notice in both scenarios?

You would notice the rate of growth in both scenarios would be different. Scenerio A is gonna yield more result than that of scenario B.

Don't you think we always find ourselves in that particular scenario B all the time? We keep procrastinating until it gets close to the deadline, that we now then put all our efforts to complete that one task we could have done slowly before. It becomes tiring and yield no growth, which now does more harm than better to our life. The key player of that is our laziness, due to our endless procrastination of our tasks.

How many times in a day do we say "I will do this later"? If we think about it very well, you will realise that this little phrase is the door to the pile of our tasks with deadlines. Laziness is nothing but our will to postpone our tasks. As we reach closer to the deadline, we will have no other option than to adjourn it further and eventually it starts affecting our life growth.

How can we be more consistent?

  • We should try and break down our complex tasks into smaller parts that we can complete easily without excess stress.

For example, if we have to write an essay of 7 pages daily, we can try breaking it into a smaller amount by writing 1 page everyday consistently. We should finish the whole essay within a week. Istead of exhausting ourselves trying to finish the whole thing for hours, we can spend few minutes each day and develop progress in completing those tasks.

  • It's time to put an end to procrastination.

Whether it's completing our assignments, studying for our exams or finishing an undone project, we shouldn't always fail to be consistent in doing them. Instead of postponing our tasks, let's develop a consistent routine to complete our tasks effectively. It might seem a little bit hard at the start, but trust me, as we keep repeating it, consistently will find it's way into your life. It would help in boosting your growth and help execute your tasks effectively and efficiently.

Consistency is the only key to growth.......

There is need to be consistent with what we are doing to have a better result at the end. Consistently breaking down a task into smaller ways would go a long way than doing it when the deadline is almost near. Procrastination is a bad habit because it kills time.
