The ultimate goal of our redemption is to spend eternity in the presence of God.The presence of God is the core attraction in heaven. All the redeemed are guaranteed eternal life with God because Jesus offered His blood to purchase all believers an"eternal redemption"

Someone had rightly observed that the purpose of life is to prepare for eternity. Our Lord was clear in his desire for the believers to be with him wherever he is.Part of his valedictory speech to his disciples, says:"Let not your heart be troubled;you believe in God believe also in me.In my father's house are many mansions; If it were not so, I would have told you.I go to prepare a place for you , I Will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

Wherever he is,defines the destination of all his elects. Some of the prophetic scripture describe the redeemed as being crowned with everlasting joy, overtaken with gladness and Joy,deviod of sorrow and mourning.Such scriptures paint pictures of experiences that are only possible in heaven and not on Earth. Our lord affirmed"in the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world".He overcame not only the world but also death by reason of his resurrection. The resurrection was the enduring proof that the works of redemption is been completed.Every believer is now sealed with the holy spirit and preserved awaiting the day of redemption.(Ephesians 4:30) This future day of redemption to the bodily resurrection of believers, which Paul refer to as"the redemption of our body."(Romans 8:23).We look forward to this glorious day with rapturous anticipation.let's all endeavor to be meet there.

The overriding purpose of our redemption is the happiness of God.We are redeemed to make God happy by how we live and what we doGod is Happy that his prodigal sons and daughters have been brought back to him. What Christ redeemed us from suggest what he redeemed us to.He redeemed us from lawlessness to righteousness, from sin to godliness.According to R.C.Sproul,"In salvation we are not only saved from sin and damnation;we are saved unto holiness."Holiness is a lifestyle that gives God pleasure. As a matter of fact.God saved us and adopted us as his children in order to enjoy us.Our purpose in life, therefore, zeros down to making sure that God is Happy with us We must intentionally pursue lifestyles, cultivate habits, and develop relationships that delights God's heart The happiness of God is the only legitimate pursuit of his children.Whatever a believer does,be it great or small,it must be aimed at making God happy otherwise it is sham.God takes much pleasure in seeing us reflects his Image and likeness in our lives. I imagine him sometimes chuckling as he watches a believer make decisions or take actions to reveal his love and care for the world We hear too often of the wrath of God and then come up with a false picture of God as a perennially sad person. The Truth is that God is not even in bad mood let alone being sad.God lives absolutely independent of his creatures. Our attitudes and actions don't influence his position his disposition to happier. His happiness is in himself,by himself and for himself. The Bible says of him,"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty one, will save;he will rejoice over you with gladness,He will quiet you with his Love,He will rejoice over you with singing"(Zaphaniah 3:17).We serve a happy God,who sings over us and is Never grumpy and edgy.

God is only happy in who He is,He is also the source and the dispenser of human happiness. When our lives lineup with his purpose,we feel his happiness in our heart too.He redeemed us to"purify for himself his own special people, zealous of good works."(Titus 2:13-14).When you evince zeal in the things you do, you not only make God happy, you also contract his happiness.Eric little was a Scottish runner who aimed at winning a gold medal at an Olympic event.Knowing that winning a gold medal at Olympic is usually a Herculean task even for the competition. His unrelenting dedication and passion exhibited in his preparation for the race attracted the ire of some well-meaning Christians who berated him for putting in so much time in something as mundane as sports competition. When he was asked why he was working so hard to run fast?Eric replied;"God made me fast, and when I run, I feel his pleasure."You too can feel the pleasure of God as you work hard at whatever job you have in hand.Hard work is a proof of Grace (1Corinthians 15:10)God is pleased when we work hard to achieve our goals.St.Francis De Sales said,"Doing little things with a strong desire to please God makes them really great." The ancillary goal of redemption is to raise a work force for the kingdom. You a e redeemed to become part of God's"Special people, zealous for good works."A good work is any service that helps others and honours God.As the zeal of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar (Numbers 25:11), earned him a special place in God's heart,so let your zeal to please God carve out a niche for you in his heart in Jesus name.
