Dedicated to all the nations where democracy still struggles.
1x
Justice staggering on slippery rocks
Liberty stifling in the armpit of rogues
Merit coercely relegated to backseats
Corruption pillaging deeper than acids
City gates dewalled by broken promises
Abandoned projects yawn in premises.
Holes like dead sea on bloodthirsty roads.
To us they say jump and pass like toads.
Dead bodies littered the ground like flies
While the elect live in the palace's peaceful ties.
2x
Touch not the voted, do them no harm
Like star devoid of night,it's without glory.
Toddlers in power, dressed in adult attire
Old men twisting youths to die like matyrrh
With human bloods they water their greed
Bequeathing bright future to their spoilt kids.
3x
The Nation is like a car driven by amateur driver.
Economic flat tyre in the middle of nowhere
Surrounded by bandits and terrorists at still
The driver blames preceding drivers in guilt
Witch-hunt nobly dressed as patriotism
Outspoken voices gag cause of criticism
A tale of a nation, searching for identities.

Some of these power drunk leaders often take advantage of the opportunity given to them to abuse democracy
