PRIDE
In life, challenges are meant to spur us to do better and not to mar us.
Quite oftentimes, we are the architects of our own downfalls. Our mouths have landed us in more troubles than our foes. We have regularly claimed to know all hence missing the big picture of a purpose-driven life, which is centred around the spiral arc of teachableness and corrigibility!
There's always an irreconcilable difference between self-esteem and pride! They're not same. One is class while the other is crass!
Do not think about what people say about you. That's actually none of your business. Your business in life is to mind your business. Thinking about what meddlers say should be the least thing you do.
If you set out for a journey and decide to throw stones at every dog that barks then I'm afraid you wouldn't reach your destination! You may be bitten and beaten!
DO not try to be everyone's friend. If you do, you will bring sorrows and unending troubles to yourself because some people are already troubled and they're looking for who to trouble not befriend!
Those men who picked Jonah in their ship suffered the consequences. They were trying to be nice to a guy going there way! You know how it ended!
INDECISION
Indecision is a dangerous thing. Sometimes you've to stop being scared and go for it whether it works or not! There's no crime in trying! Those who are indecisive in life are the ones causing unnecessary traffic on the pathway to success. They're shilly-shally on the highway of life hence slowpacing others who are willing to enter action with courage! As My friend would say, courage is not the absence of fear but it's the mastery of fear.
Until you begin to make decisions when others are still sitting on the fence, you'll fight over leftovers from the tables of the decision makers.
Life is not a sit-and-watch game. When you're in doubt, do not act because your will is already compromised.
When we were much younger, we used to jump over gully canals and obstacles. A fun thing to do as kids. But tremendous lessons we learnt here. Whenever you are running to jump over an obstacle, and fear strikes, and the consequences of the peril flashes, the drive to cross over the hurdle fade away instantly. Your greatest enemy is fear! Yes phobia of the unknown
