Barcelona defense was so bad in the first half of the last friendly match. Alba Lenglet Pique Roberto all were performing so badly. Busquets should never start a game or play a full match anymore. The second half defense of Firpo Cuenca Araujo Semedo was a noticeable improvement over their "starting XI defense". Lenglet may have been promising initially but he's surrounded by bad defenders it's affecting him. Please sign defenders and replace Bartomeu already. An amazing midfield+attack with no defense will make no difference whatsoever.
Basically, they can sign all they want in midfield and offense but with the same 4 defenders as last season, they won’t win jack shit and will only get embarrassed again. It's so bad that they clearly need a defensive signing but the boards being idiots going for Gini and Depay.
Their midfield with Puig and de jong looked great their 2nd half defense was better that shows something they need to buy defender's not attackers when they're set. All they literally have to do is get rid of Roberto Semedo Alba bench Pique and Busquets than replace them with Grimaldo Dest and Eric García.
After seeing the last match, what I can say is the probability of another trophyless season and big humiliation at UCL is very high. The defense needs a lot of work and the pressing pattern needs to be really improved.
