Hello friends, today I want to tell about structure of human heart. So let's start...

The heart is the blood cell that circulates throughout the body through the continuous rhythmic contractions of the muscular organs of the body. The heart acts as a pump for the human body to carry blood through the arteries.

During the lifetime of a healthy person, the heart beats an average of 2,600 million times and draws about 155 million liters of blood from each ventricle. A heart weighs about 300 grams, one-third less in women than in men.

The human heart is located in the thoracic cavity above the diaphragm and slightly to the left along the middle of the two lungs. It is reddish in colour and triangular in shape. The base is wide and upward, but the pointed apex is located below the fifth rib.

The human heart is a hollow organ with four chambers. The upper two chambers are called right and left atrium and the lower two are called right and left ventricles.

The aorta is formed from the front of the left ventricle and the pulmonary artery is formed from the front of the right ventricle. The right atrium has superior venacava and inferior venacava and the left atrium has four pulmonary veins.
