As you guys know that Ramadan is almost over and Eid is just around the corner. On Eid-ul-fitr, which marks the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Muslims buy new clothes, shoes, jewellery etc and visit their relatives. Actually I find the first day of Eid a bit boring, because you follow a routine for one entire month of Ramadan and then suddenly your routine changes, your sleeping and eating patterns change and it affects your mood badly. Anyways, this time for Eid, I order a dress from one of Pakistan’s famous brands named as LULUSAR. It is famous and expensive. It was a combination of dark blue and beige color organza full length frock with light embroidery on neck.
I always buy simple and casual dresses for Eid, but this time I decided to go for embroidered suit so that it can be worn on wedding and birthday occasions as well. When I first checked the price of that dress I was like:
“Just leave it, it is way too expensive”.
But because it was so beautiful and I couldn’t take my eyes off of it, ultimately I mustered up courage and placed the order. I placed my order on 19th of this month. It usually takes 2 to 3 days and maximum 7 days to get your parcel delivered here.
I placed order online because I was under the impression that LULUSAR has no outlet in my city. Even after 7 days when I didn’t receive my parcel I decided to email their customer care branch to ask about the status of my parcel. One thing that I really like about them is they reply you back within one to two hours. So they replied and assured me that I will get my order before Eid.
So today while I was cutting fruits for making fruit chat for aftaar, my mother brought this package in and told me that
It’s your most awaited parcel, go on, and open it.
When I opened it, I was very disappointed. The colors of the frock were very dull and the stuff was so rough. Talking about the size and overall stitching, it was all a nightmare. When I put it on, it was loose. I was so heartbroken as I saw my money going to waste.
I got their phone number from their Instagram page and called them without wasting a second. Their representative picked up the call and I told him how disappointed I am from their dress. He told me that there is an outlet of LULUSAR in my city as well, and I can get it changed. I felt like suddenly a burden has been removed from me. But after hearing that they have an outlet here as well that I didn’t know about, I got a bit mad at myself. As I should have known so I could go there and see the stuff myself before buying in the first place. Anyways, what’s done is done. After aftaar, I along with my mother reached their outlet.
There was a great variety of dresses their, some of them were actually really pretty. I told the salesman about the entire situation and he said I can exchange it for any dress I like. There was this sea green long embroidered frock that caught my attention.
I went to the try room to try it on and it turned out to be the perfect beauty at last. I asked the salesman to pack it for me. I am so happy that I visited their store and bought this dress after being fully satisfied with the size and stuff.
When I received my order in afternoon I got so heartbroken but later when I visited the store and bought this beautiful dress I realised everything happens for a reason and everything happens for the best.
This was my today’s rant! Hope I didn’t bore you! How are your Eid preparations going?
