There was a great joy today 16th of August, 2021 as I saw my mother dancing even in her old age in joy and happiness because of the news of the her daughter in-law who gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. Her first grand-daughter!

The joy of every mother is to live and see her grand and great-grand children in life, most mothers who have reached the stage of becoming grandmothers because of some unseen circumstances of life or another may not have the opportunity to see their grandchildren before they die. Such affected mothers may live all their lives in pain, sadness, regrets and heartbreak because of not been able to live and experience that feeling and life as a grandmother.
In this part of our world, a mother's happiness and satisfaction is said to be complete when she sees her grand and great-grand children run around her and play with her in her old age, even call her these names like granny, grand-mom, etc. That's why you see most mothers making sure that their children follow the right track of life to become that great personality and responsible individuals who will marry and bear children at the right time so that she can be able to have children she can call her grandchildren in her old age.
Today being 16th August, 2021 was a great a great day in my family, as jubilation, celebration and happiness were seen in full around my neighborhood as everyone were dancing and singing songs of praise for the gift of life in My family. My elder brother's wife gave birth to a bouncing baby girl last night and when the news got to us in the morning of today, my mother was seen dancing and praising God for the arrival of her first ever grand-daughter.
The celebration was heated to the level where all the neighborhood came out in full to celebrate with her. It was a great event because as at the time the news was given, coincidentally, people did not go out for their daily activities dues to impromptu holiday of sit at home order by the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) in the eastern region of Nigeria.
People gathered and were served with drinks and lots of other foods, other neighbors that came to rejoice with my mother were seen bringing foods for people to eat and rejoice with our family. You could see the excitement and overwhelming joy written all over the face of my mother as she was dancing and praising God.
The event of today really thought me a lesson which I will like to highlight in my article.
LOVE
It's not easy to see such height of love been displayed by the neighbors around. A situation where everybody were celebrating and bring out what ever they have to support the event was something to be recommended for. You must to expect something in return before you show some care and love to the next person beside you. Ordinarily it was supposed to be my family's responsibilities to cater for all the foods and drinks my neighbors took during the celebration but you could see the neighbors bringing foods and drinks from their different homes in support for this great news. It can only be love!
TOGETHERNESS
from what happened today, you can see that the birth of a child always bring good news and togetherness to families and friends. You can see people coming from their different houses, leaving what ever thing they were doing to be with us. The effect of these act of kindness and togetherness shown by the neighbors around made me to understand that we need one another to make a beautiful world.
Finally, today have been a great day to my family and to my mother especially because she has finally gotten that satisfaction of heart she has ever prayed for. She is now a grandmother!
