Injury to one, injury to all.

I have been crying all through the night watching the news and seeing how once loved and beautiful cities of Ukraine been shattered with bombs and missiles coming from the Russian armies, I could not hold my tears and my heart bleeding in severe pain at the sight of infants and children's death toll count read in the news on the ongoing Russian invasion in Ukraine.

I have not actually understood the magnitude of the destruction caused by this invasion by the Russian government and army to Ukraine not until I watched the news last night where I saw pictures of homes, hospitals, churches, mosque, schools, hotels, factories, etc, in the cities of Ukraine been destroyed by the Russian missiles, bombs and artilleries, the destruction of these properties by the Russian troops were so devastating and hurting to me and every lover of peace and harmony all around the world.

I couldn't hold my tears from rolling down my cheek as I saw the pictures of baby strollers been displayed at the city centre of the Lviv in Ukraine where the war has not yet reached as a demonstration for the numbers of babies and children that were killed by the Russian bombardment in Ukraine cities. When I saw these images of shattered homes and cities of the Ukrainians who once never thought that they would be homeless last month ago, I began to wonder the actual meaning of human existence to mankind.

It makes no meaning and sense if we feel less concern about what is going on in the world today, it makes no meaning if we say that what is happening in Ukraine today or in Yemen as well as every other part of the world that is faced with war, conflict and fightings does not concern us since the war and crisis is not happening in our country today, it makes no sense if we throw away our human feelings because we have different colours and languages and so, the war does not concern us and we can't do anything about it.

It makes no meaning if we pretend as if the death of that pregnant woman and her baby that died as a result of bombardment of the maternity hospital in one of the Ukraine cities that were under attack by the Russian army is nothing to say no to and speak against in other to stop the ongoing war in Ukraine soil.

How do we say that we are for each other when we are actually against one another through our actions?

How can we speak of peace when we have actually closed our eyes to the evil happenings around the world using Ukraine war and Yemen conflict as an example?

How can we sleep and have good night rest knowing that some people are out there running for their dear lives, staying days without eating food nor drinking water even to have their bath?

How can we feel satisfied in our hearts when some people are walking days on the cold nights and morning seeking for shelter as a result of the conflicts and war that have befallen  them within a twinkle of an eye?

How can we the entire world stay in peace and watch the children, infants, young girls and boys cry all through the night and morning in fear, trauma and agony because of the current situation in Ukraine and other parts of the world that are faced with conflicts and fightings?

I know we have different colours, different orientations, different cultures, traditions, customs and norms, I know we are of different backgrounds with different religions and beliefs, I know we are of different reasonings and thought, but there are few important things we all have as one which can not be discarded no matter what we do, and that things is what we call one blood, one supreme God of the universe, same conscience, and same final destination which is death.

Whether we want to accept it or not, "an injury to one is an injury to all", just like the Liverpool football club slogan that says "we never walk alone", these two important statements are what binds us together as one anywhere we find ourselves in this world, we need to stand and unite as one to fight this common enemy of man which is hatred, disagreements, war, disunity and rancour found amongst us, in our hearts and in everything that concerns man's relationship with one another.

It's actually time to speak the right word and preach this gospel of peace to the world so that the world will be a better place for you and I to live in.

It's time to stand and put yourself in that person's shoe who is currently running for his or her life in Ukraine, Yemen and any other place where there is war and conflict around the world  today, feel what that person is passing through right now and try your best to add your voice with the rest of the world to stop this fight and say no to war and destruction of lives and properties all around the world.

The world need peace and harmony and that's what we need to be preaching everyday of our lives not war, not conflicts, not fightings.

Always remember this, that injury to one is an injury to all.
