I will like to start with this question, what is the content of your character? Yes and I know a lot of us have been wondering why I have decided to talk about this particular topic that concerns our character as humans, the way we relate with our fellow human beings, even to other animals we have as pets.

Yes, our character is what defines who we are. The way we relate with that person that comes around us, even the manner at which we handle some issues that comes to our feet and the way we carry ourselves in our everyday relationship with our neighbors, friends and families and even to other people we meet on the way during our daily activities matters a lot and goes a long way to define the content of our character and personality.

Are you that type of person that always feel and see yourself as superior more than the next person and because of that, you look down on people just because you think they don't come up to your level and status?

Are you that person that always see bad in every thing someone does? No matter the effort that person put to satisfy you and your desires, still you will always end up finding something to talk bad about that person's effort.

There are people that always have this personal hatred for that neighbor living with them, when your neighbor tries to open his door to have a good morning greetings with you, Instead of you to respond to his greetings, you snub him and throw your face to the other side of the way in anger for no just reason.

Because she has terminal disease or deformity in her body and she happens to come near you to ask you for whatever assistance, immediately you set your eyes on her you begin to make caricature of her and mockery of her to the extent of showing her that she irritates you and you can't bear her sight or presence around you.

12-year-old Melinda Rose from Canada who was diagnosed with Askin's Tumour, a rare form of blood cancer which the world celebrates today was asked a question during the last days of her life about how she cope with the pains and other challenges the cancer was causing her and she responded, I am not sad that I am dying with this terminal disease and the pain that comes with it, rather I am so pained by the daily abuse and insults I get from my classmates who call me different names because of my sickness and make mockery of me each time I come close to them.

Often time we think we are in control of the things that comes our way, and because of that we refuse to take proper and adequate measure to stay at alert to watch our character and attitude we show towards people that look up to us for direction and teachings, we act irrational without showing remorse of our action for hurting them.

Have you ever thought about your character and how it has affected the next person sitting beside you? Have you asked yourself whether the way you behave to people bring positive change to the community where you belonged to? Maybe you don't know that the content of your character you exhibit everyday of your life to people around you can be the reason why most of them feel depressed when they go to sleep everyday.

The Holy book (bible) will always tell us  that an unexamined life is not worth living. We should always learn to examine our character and the way people feel whenever we come around them, we should try our best to live right  and always make sure we pass the right information to people that look up to us through our character.

Finally, whether you are black or white, short or tall, fat or slim, whether rich or poor, etc, we should always shun all levels of pride and castigation towards one another through our characters and attitudes. No one is more important more than the other, always effect positive change through the content of your character by so doing, the world will be a better place for you and I.
