Useful Apps for Online Class

Education is defined as the act or method of imparting or gaining general knowledge, cultivating powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally preparing oneself or others intellectually for a mature life. It is important and challenging at the same time exciting. We are able to learn and in the middle of learning we tend to meet people that can give an impact to our lives.

Today, face to face classes are not suitable because of the pandemic so the classes are to be held thru virtual meetings. I will show to you the useful applications that we may use as a student and a professor for the online classes for this school year.

These are the applications that students and professors may use for online classes this year:

WPS

The WPS Office is particularly well-suited for schools in which teachers and students use a range of devices. Teachers and students can use the WPS Office to create content and share it easily with the Cloud or shared spaces like Google Drive. Students can use WPS Office on their own mobile devices to build Microsoft Office files and present them to a class or share them with other students or their teachers on another form of computer.

 Grammarly

Grammarly is a writing tool that helps you check for a number of types of errors. It detects errors in grammar and punctuation. This also provides real-time information and guidance on how to correct these errors. It's also a robust spell check tool for keeping your writing error free. Grammarly identifies plagiarism by evaluating your writing to billions of websites across the web. It will also help you auto-edit your work and provides real-time insights into your readability score, sentence length, and so on. This really is great help in adapting your genre-specific writing style to a specific audience.

MS Office

Microsoft Office 365 helps teachers easily organize their materials, develop interactive lessons, and develop individual learning programs for students. Instructors and learners can easily access all the great training and tools available at all times. It is important as it connects schools to the digital society and allows the next generation not only to learn, but ultimately to transform society for the better.

Telegram

Telegram claims that it is the fastest messaging app on the market, connecting people across the globe through a unique, distributed network of data centers. You can access your messages from all of your devices at once. Start typing your phone and finish your message with your tablet or laptop.  You can send media and files without any limitations on their type and size. Your entire chat history will not require any disk space on your device, and will also be securely stored in the Telegram cloud for as soon as you need it.

Canva

Canva for Education is perfect for a teacher or lecturer who moves to remote work or online classes, as well as for those who want to enhance classroom creativity. The main advantage is that educators and all their students can have access to this app free of charge, with no time or offer limitations. With easy-to-use designs and a single sign-on for easy student access, Canva for Education is designed for everybody.

Notebloc

Notebloc is a hassle free scanner app that promotes unlimited use, developed by a notebook company in Barcelona. You can scan any type of notes, paper files, receipts, illustrations, sketches, photographs or images. By the use of the app’s batch scan feature to scan various documents at a time. You can start creating single or multi-page files and coordinate them in folders and subfolders.

Google Docs

In Google Docs you can create new documents or edit existing files, share documents and collaborate in the same document at the same time, work anywhere, anytime even you don’t have data or wifi connection.

Google Meet

Google meet secures connection and everyone can safely create and join in a high quality video meetings for groups up to 250 participants. Video meetings here in Google meet are encrypted for  safety measures. It easy convenient to anyone who are going to use Google meet, share a link and invite participants to join with one click from a web browser or in the app.

Quizlet

Quizlet can be used to practice and master what you’ve learn. You can create your own flashcards and study sets or you can choose and select from the created flashcards of other students there. You can get test-ready with it, share flashcards with your classmates, it can also use by the professors to make their flashcards for their students. It can be used to enhance your studying by custom images and audios.

Kahoot!

Kahoot is an entertaining app that can be used at home, work, and at school. Professors and students may use this app to make a quiz-based games. Teachers may searched in this app ready-to-play kahoot topics but they can also make their own based on their lessons.

Merriam-Webster

Merriam Webster is a well-known app as it is useful for everyone for English language reference, education, and for vocabulary building. The app also offers vocabulary quizzes that may help to enhance your vocabulary words.

Google Drive

Google Drive is a safe app to back up and access all your files from any device. You can have a quick access to your files even you are offline. Google accounts can get 15GB storage free from Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

Readera

It is a book reader that allows as to read books for free, offline in PDF, EPUB, Microsoft Word(DOC, DOCX, RTF), Kindle(MOBI, AZW3), DJVU, FB2, TXT, ODT and CHM formats. Quick and easy access to reading settings, content tables, bookmarks, text highlights, quotes, notes, book history pages, and other eBook options. Use the page pointer or the progress line to navigate the book.

Xodo Reader

Xodo is an all-in-one PDF reader and an annotator / editor for PDF files. You can read, annotate, sign, and share PDFs with Xodo and fill in PDF forms, plus Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive sync.

Taskade

Taskade is an app to manage tasks, write notes, and video chat with your teams or groups, in one unified workspace. The easiest way to create team outlines, checklists, and work processes. Even if you're managing team projects or planning future milestones — it is indeed simple , fast, and fun to get work done with Taskade! It can be used by individuals or teams, at home or at work (or anywhere!). Automatic syncing means that your data is always up to date on every device.

Photomath

Not all of us are good in math so I am presenting to an app that can help us all. Photomath can be used without data or wifi connections. It has word problem explanations, free to use, step-by-step explanations for every solution, multi-functional scientific calculator, and interactive graphs.

Google Keep

Google keep is a useful app where you can keep notes and on the go memos. You can also make lists for yourself, and share it with friends or family. It is very useful for students to listen to their professors while taking notes by using this application. Color and add labels to code notes to quickly organize and get on with your life. If you need to find something you saved, a simple search will turn it up.

Zoom

Zoom used for video conferencing, group video calls , and group messaging in one easy use app. Some of our professors required us to use this app as it is easier for them to use.

Google Classroom

For colleges, non-profits, and anyone with a personal Google account, Classroom is a free service. Classroom makes it easy to communicate inside and outside of schools for learners and teachers. Classroom saves time and paper and makes it easier for classes to be developed, assignments to be distributed, shared and coordinated.

MS Team

Microsoft Teams is the teamwork hub that integrates all a team needs: chat and threaded discussions, meetings & video conferencing, calling, content sharing using the power of Microsoft 365 applications, and the ability to develop and incorporate applications and workflows that the company relies on.
