Absence of feeling pain
People who can't feel pain have a serious condition called, "Congenital insensitivity to pain", or CIP is a disease that prevents the capacity to feel physical pain. From birth, affected individuals will never experience discomfort in any part of their body when they are injured. This lack of awareness of pain also contributes to an accumulation of cuts, fractures, broken bones, and other health conditions that might go undetected.
Kids with congenital insensitivity to pain may have mouth or finger wounds due to frequent self-biting and may also have numerous burn-related injuries.
These repetitive injuries also lead to decreased life expectancy in people with congenital pain insensitivity. Many individuals with congenital pain insensitivity often have a complete lack of sense of smell (anosmia).
Congenital pain insensitivity is considered a type of peripheral neuropathy since it affects the peripheral nervous system that links the brain and spinal cord to muscles and cells that sense stimuli such as touch, smell, and pain. Congenital insensitivity to pain is caused by mutations in the SCN9A gene and, in rare cases, is caused by mutations in the PMRD12 gene. It is inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern.

The SCN9A gene belongs to a family of genes that provide guidance for the development of sodium channels. These channels, which transport positively charged sodium atoms (sodium ions) to cells, play a key role in the cell's ability to produce and transmit electrical signals.
The PRDM12 gene encodes a family of transcriptional regulators who are involved in the regulation of vertebrate neurogenesis.
There's still no treatment for CIPA. Treatment is intended to regulate body temperature, avoid self-injury, and treat orthopedic conditions as soon as possible. It is very important to regulate the temperature of the body during surgery.
Sometimes when life hits us hard we tend to wish that "I hope to not feel this kind of pain", and it didn't cross our minds that there is a condition where you can't really feel the pain. People with this kind of condition can feel pressure but they can't really feel the pain.
We are blessed that our senses are complete and we can feel everything. That we are completely alive. Keep moving people, you are doing your best. Don't let pain deceive you, those are just challenges to make you stronger and a better version of yourself.
