Mrs Hanson had just hired a maid to the house to help her since her job could not allow her take care of the house. She is a banker who wakes up early in the morning and comes back so tired late in the evening. All she takes before going to bed is a little coffee. Mrs Hanson's home is furnished with glass objects that she wants someone who could manage her home very well. She doesn't mind the pay. All she wants is "just keep my home clean".
She had instructed the maid of everything she needs to do in the home. What she must do and not do. The maid being a gentle lady was so careful to handle anything else she would lose her job. "How on Earth will I afford things in the house if I break any?" She muttered one-day while cleaning the room. As she was instructed, she did accordingly. Handled every glasses gently and was so careful not to misplace or break any of them.....

And he gave a task to write about "THE GLASS CUP". Let me digress a little before I start revealing some things you never knew about the Glass cup.
To be a creative writer requires imagination, critical thinking and thorough patience to put something down. Most people think writing is just easy but I can only tell you that what differentiate a writer from a creative writer is that "extra creativity". You don't just copy and paste words and think you are good to go. I will continue this in my next article and tell you about my journey in becoming a creative writer.
Now, the glass cup! Everyone uses the glass cup but do you know there is meaning related to it? In fact, this was a challenge to me through the post and I sat down to imagine what a glass cup portrays. And sincerely, I came up with 4 attributes of a glass cup which I will discuss them here.
1. GLASS CUP IS SPECIAL
You would notice Glass cups with water or wine in it are being served to those who are special. You treat glass cups special because you see it as something been given to people who are dear to you. Glass cups aren't given to everybody because not everyone deserves such cup. Even when a small child is special to you, you will be prompt to honour such a child serving him or her in glass cups. This means, we must treat everyone special. We all are unique as God as created us differently. The way you take the glass cup to be special, so also, human beings are special too.
2. GLASS CUPS ARE HANDLED GENTLY
Just like an egg, glass cups are handled gently because if broken, even though they are patched up again, they can't be the same way they were. The story above tells us about how the maid handled every glass objects carefully including the kitchen utensils because she knew she can't afford them if they breaks. You take care of your glass cups so they don't get broken. You are always careful not to get them broken or give it to someone who aren't careful to handle things.
I can remember it got to a stage in my life, I started using glass cups and plates to eat and drink. Then, they knew I had be careless to break it and so they allowed me reached a particular age before I was being served with glass cup or plate.
3. GLASS CUPS ARE FOR HIGH PROFILE
What do I mean by high profile? These are people with high status who are wealthy and great personality. When you go to events, they are served with glass cup with wine and are treated in a good way other than the poor ones.
4. TRANSPARENCY
Glass cups are transparent and you would hardly see any dark in it. While using glass cup, you would see your shadow in it. This means in all we do, we need to be transparent in terms of loyalty, honesty and holy. There is no need to keep secrets or be engaged in darkness. Let your life be transparent so people can see you and respect your personality.

As glass cup is plain, so life is plain
As plain as it could be, things hidden underneath its nature.
Life contains hidden secrets
As transparent a glass cup could be, so is life transparent
The sun makes hidden things known to man
As glistening as glass could be, so can life be, but all that shines is not real inside.
As glass cup could reflect a light, so can it bring joy to a thirsty man.
As pure as it is, so does a man who is pure is blessed in his life.
Treat a glass cup as your dear one.
