Many of us are considering rabbits are for pets only. But in reality, rabbits are also part of livestock animals.

Facts:

During world war II, rabbit meat save many people due to the scarcity of food caused by the war.

As many years passed by, many people have forgotten this idea and considered rabbits as household pets.

Rabbits have 2 types, the rabbit meat type, and the pet type.

There are a lot of breeds for meat-type rabbits but most of the known meat-type rabbits here in the Philippines are New Zealand Rabbits.

They eat grass, Madre de agua, banana leaves, malunggay, and pellets. They are medium breed rabbits that weigh 2-6 kilos depending on their diet.

Pet-type rabbits are usually small rabbit breeds. They are cute and child-friendly rabbits because of their behavior than the larger breeds of rabbits.
