Do you enjoy when you see the full moon in the sky? Do you feel weird when it’s happening? Do you want to go near the sea and watch it on its surface glittering?
First, what exactly is the fool moon? According to Wikipedia:
“The full moon is the lunar phase when the Moon appears fully illuminated from Earth's perspective. This occurs when Earth is located between the Sun and the Moon (more exactly, when the ecliptic longitudes of the Sun and Moon differ by 180°). This means that the lunar hemisphere facing Earth – the near side – is completely sunlit and appears as a circular disk. The full moon occurs roughly once a month.
The time interval between a full moon and the next repetition of the same phase, a synodic month, averages about 29.53 days. Therefore, in those lunar calendars in which each month begins on the day of the new moon, the full moon falls on either the 14th or 15th day of the lunar month. Because a calendar month consists of a whole number of days, a month in a lunar calendar may be either 29 or 30 days long.”

So, every month we are grateful to watch the full moon and its beauty, but sometimes we also have eclipses – either for moon or sun.
Let’s also see what it means according to Wikipedia:
“An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when an astronomical object or spacecraft is temporarily obscured, by passing into the shadow of another body or by having another body pass between it and the viewer. This alignment of three celestial objects is known as a syzygy. Apart from syzygy, the term eclipse is also used when a spacecraft reaches a position where it can observe two celestial bodies so aligned. An eclipse is the result of either an occultation (completely hidden) or a transit (partially hidden).”

When both fool moon and eclipse happens, what we see is extraordinary, at least whoever can watch it, because usually you can’t see it from every place on earth.
Many songs have been written for the moon and many others for the full moon. Some of them have a romantic sound, some others are dancing. As for eclipse, there are some songs they also use it as a phrase, but it’s not the same as moon’s beauty, which most of the times takes us to a night scenery with a couple underneath the stars and the full moon, holding hand, kissing, making wedding proposal and so on.
Do you feel romantic when you watch the full moon at night, or you don’t care? Maybe you just enjoy the beauty and nothing more? Perhaps you feel kind of sad because you miss your other half and memories are filling your head? Do you wish you’d be able to see the moon from close? Travel there? Go to the space someday?
Personally, I think full moon is one of the most wonderful views on earth. I love to watch it even when I’m at home, I prefer the sea of course, but I don’t mind if I’m not there. If there is eclipse, I love the view twice, so rare, so different!
The beauty of the earth, sky, the space, the universe is so unique, and I guess most of us enjoy watching it, not just passing by the images he sees. Either with images he can watch with his own eyes, or even with documentaries from NASA, National Geographic, and others, where we can enjoy things, we would never be able to see ever!
Until the next full moon, enjoy yesterday’s pictures, moments, and songs!
