Do we really know what depression is?
Is mood of, being sulky means depression?
Whenever we are upset, feeling low we think that that is depression but actually not all kinds of sadness is depression. So, at first we need to know what is depression.
Depression means the feeling of sadness because of guilt, low self-worth, some crisis and which hampers the daily life routine.
Now come to the point that how one can understand that he/she is in depression.
Symptoms:
Suddenly the way of behaviour will be changed. People can notice the person is not the same as before.
Lack interest in almost everything and also does not wish to do regular tasks and lack of concentration in certain things.
Keep avoiding people and the sleep pattern of that person become change.
Perhaps he/she is hungry but does not wish to eat. Means one lose interest in eating.
Though in some sources it is shown that a person in depression remains sad and quiet. Now a days in this case people is seen laughing in everything even in little matter. So we can not easily guess what is going on in the mind of that people.
As days are passing its symptoms are also changing because of the changing behaviour of people. So, we should try to notice if any kind of symptoms are present in that person.
But what we need to do if we are in depression?
If you feel or understand that you are depressed and thinks that you are in depression then you should take some steps. Though one who is in depression will not in that mood of checking oneself, they should at least give a trail on some point.
I am just trying to point out some steps on the primary basis.
Steps which can be taken:
You can listen to good music not the saddest one please but the dancing one. Lol! It sounds funny. But please for your sake give at least a try to it. It will cheer up your mood at least for a while.
Do anything, any kinda work. Though not the one you like, at least try to clean your room,clothes,your stuffs.
And one best thing is Cycling. Trust me, it is really helps a lot to reduce pressure and gives relief. Because it needs physical activity and also concentration which diverts your mind from chaos.
Talk, yes talk to people. Share your thoughts about what you are feeling, what is hampering your mind.
If you think your friends, family are going to judge you and you can not rely on them, at least talk to a stranger.
Try to find a stranger, new friend through new platform not the online basis. You can go to any kind of organisation which suits you. For example: you can admit in any cultural organisation.
Try to learn new skills. Really it will help you to get connection of new people and will divert your mind to some positive vibe.
Gor for a tour close to nature and this really will give you a new vibe. Nature is the best place to be lost away and it heals the inner pain.
Last but not the least, the thing is we need to think positive always. We should not let our mind be overcome by negative thoughts.
