Getting Back Up : Un-Upset There are losses that you accept as normal ones and you get to bounce back quick. And there are losses that you feel frustration over just because you know there is no chance of winning it. Like this one below : Just seeing the summoner, Yodin, upon lineup lay-down, I already know I will not win the game. From before my long hiatus in all crypto, Yodin was one of the sought-after summoner. Being just a simple player, don't ask me why, but I do know one thing, he is special. But this loss was not as frustrating as the one game I lost to strange cards. I was not as flabbergasted. https://read.cash/@Pichi28/lost-to-a-soul-4d82dcb1 Sometimes, we have this previous defeat that we lose faith and hope of winning the next time similar opponents or trials come by. Yes that may sound like a life happening but it also is applicable to playing games. So after the frustration of losing from the Soulbound Reward characters, I thought, "as long as I don't get matched up with them, I sure will not have to face frustrated loss." https://read.cash/@Pichi28/lost-to-a-soul-4d82dcb1 So I continued to play adding more to my Mana-based sheet of lineups, modifying, re-ranking which lineups are good and which ones are not. And then out of the blue, a slow motion on the lineup laydown, I saw *Franz Ruffmane.* Sure loss was already embedded in my head. It's two-starred at that! Something I did not realize until playbacks. The enemy's lineup: Franz Ruffmane ★ 2 Time Mage ★ 2 Uriel the Purifier ★ 1 Captain Katie ★ 1 Soul Fiend ★ 1 My lineup: General Sloan ★ 1 Shieldbearer ★ 1 Celestial Harpy ★ 1 Herbalist ★ 1 Xenith Archer ★ 1 Time Mage ★ 1 Pelacor Arbalest ★ 1 I watched anyway. But to my surprise, my lineup held up: Hope after hope as his lineup starts to disappear one by one and the last card is on the table. I won. Not going to lie, or "NGL" as the youngsters say it these days, but among my other wins this one eased out my frustration in facing the same card set. My auto-loss mindset was replaced with "hopeful anyway". Besides, there are a lot of players out there still trying to get the feel of proper lineup for them , right. ***There is still room for situations when their mistake, my win.*** *What is your story?* © Pichi28 | `#ClubBrokeBCH` All Original Content Unless specified otherwise...... Lost to a Soul Needless to say, I am speechless. Shocked. It is 1:16am. I am (or was) fighting off Mr. Sandman's sprinkling of his magic sand. I am revisiting Splinterlands and still testing my lineups if they are still there and if they would still win. Coming back from a long hiatus, of course, I started in Novice. Part of why it is easy to fight off sleep, despite the fact that I still have work tomorrow (or later) and the fact that I also have a weak antihistamine cruising through my system, is because I am on a winning streak! I lost my first game only because I tried a silly lineup for water. I still have that thought that just putting Djinn Oshannus there will make me win. Not wanting to just guess my lineup, I pulled up my list and the win streak started. I was enjoying winning and also curious who this _SLBB_ group. They were my "playmates" and they kept making me happy, so, thank you. And just when I entered Bronze 3, finally. I was stunned by my next opponents' lineup: A summoner and *just one (1)* other card. At first I thought it was a sure win for me then. BUT when his cards started showing up, I was bewildered. The 2 cards are not familiar. Who is this Franz Ruffmane summoner? And who is this Captain Katie who I can't seem to damage with anything? What is this *bloodlust* flashing every time this Captain Katie starts to attack and sucks all the life of my character out instantly? I stared at the result for a good few minutes, trying to absorb what just happened. My winning streak gone and when I was about to earn SPS, I got sapped. I started feeling desperate to have those cards even just to try it out. I had that same curiosity and excitement when I first learned about Mylor Crowling and Scarred Llama Mage. I have probably really been gone that long from the game those were the still the cool summoners in my head and list. Desperate, I searched for it in PeakMonsters and wow. It's not there. How could that possibly be? Not in the market, not in other markets. I was going insane. Some search results said they came from Soulbound Reward or something. So I guess I really have a close to NIL in having a chance to try those cards. I just LOST to a SOUL and I probably won't even be able to try it out. Insert a crying emoticon here. ***What's up Readers!*** I did not expect going up against a strong lineup, but hey, it is part of the game. Will I be able to get my hands on the Soulbound cards or will I not? I am so unsure. But man, oh man. That loss made me write. *What is your story?* © Pichi28 | `#ClubBrokeBCH` All Original Content Unless specified otherwise... [*all screenshots are from Splinterlands game dash]*

What in the AI world.. I am a currently a fan of things AI. I have checked out ChatGPT, Midjourney, etcetera and I have had much fun playing around it. While most artists are not too much of a fan of that which "might" take away their craft, I am a firm believer that: ***AI will never take away the personal touch an artist imparts on their work.*** Random generators can be partly considered half AI (if I may call it that) in such a way that they give you words, phrases, sentences to start with. I also utilizes prompts to help me pave a way of what to write. Though I really go by "everything is a prompt" tag line and you can create all sorts of essays and stories from anything actually. After all, it is your mustering. The only thing that will make you hesitate to start writing that story is that looming question at the back of your head ranging from doubting your facts to doubting if you are making sense at all (and many other factors that may branch out). Some of my writings using prompts: https://read.cash/@Pichi28/of-capes-tights-and-superpowers-dc6c170d Writing is best supplemented with reading. Well, partly because you would want to have a backup for those facts, too. But also, reading makes you look at the piece created by other people and then make note of their strength and how you can adopt that and see if same works for you. One thing about writing is that you feel the writer as you read. You somehow "get to know" the person with the way they write and the way they put their thoughts together - whether they get the grammar correctly or if they seemed to have followed their set outline or it was simply a burst of brain spill. Reading other writer's work can also make you want to create your own. https://read.cash/@Pichi28/scribble-scribble-my-minds-a-wiggle-392fc9e9 I was exploring things in line with AIs that write lately. I filled in some boxes to fill in so that AI can generate the plot for me. They said it's a plot but the outcome was actually a full short story. I was excited at first. But then saddened. With all the words I have provided and the input I have given, I was not actually happy with the article. I can find two quick reasons as to why I was not actually very happy about it: 1.) It really felt like it was written by someone else. Hence my argument in the beginning that AI will never take away the personal touch an artist can impart on their work. 2.) Number one said, another reason is : My way of story telling and writing them down does not lead to these kind of stories. I am not sure if the story is live though I clicked "publish" on their site but I left the link here anyway. I may also be a writer of all sorts of fiction but I doubt I will be writing this kind. https://www.plot-generator.org.uk/1qkm8w9f/indignant-omar-azuure.html Anyway, while this AI I tried seems to be fed with a pre-notion from another source of how the story plot will lean on, in that sense of bias, I think AI can supply some lines but relying solely on what it may come up with should still be monitored, modified and *personified.* I like my versions of my writing of fictions better than any AI can build up. I am going to revisit this line again in the coming years may be and see if I'd still feel the same about AI. ***What is your experience with AI? Good so far? Madness My curious, scattered brain is over stimulated by new things that come from technology. I'm like : *Dude, I'm totally pumped up by all these tech updates – like, they've got me on this constant excitement rollercoaster!* Of course, it is technology, after all. If it is not a reinvention, it is a production of something new and *upgrades*. Gah! From automobile, to medicine, to handheld devices, to industry-related updates, etcetera. Oh how I wish I have all the time to try *everything* for myself. And how I wish trying everything is *free*. But, no, nothing in this life is free. Utilization of these upgrades sucks up your resources - money, time, energy, health, and yes even sanity, I guess. I also wish I have the brain capacity to utilize and maximize on those which I can have my hands on and, well, make money out of it as well. But here we are, mere human being on the consumer end, needing to grind to get my hands on the new things that are coming. If I thought trying to understand crypto, trading, to expanding that to day trading, etcetera, is tough enough, *A LOT* of other things are *rapidly* changing. It's like when I believe my flute or glass is already halfway full, the incoming things just start pouring in even faster – it's quite an exhilarating sensation. And then when I think of expanding that vessel, it starts to feel as though I am not getting filled much. Where does the "steady pace" lie? Haha. I am not complaining. I am simply, at the moment, to put it in three words: excited amazed overwhelmed GAMES hold the top most item in my overwhelmed tray . For some few months now, I am not able to play my all-time favorite game : THE SIMS 4. The reason mainly was because I am busy. One time, I finally had the chance to play, EA Games had a truck load of updates for me leaving my laptop no longer able to keep up with the space demands of my beloved game. I already contacted my trusted tech for an upgrade. But my wallet, also overwhelmed by these changes, do not have the capacity to accommodate the needed hardware upgrade. Same with Genshin Impact. Even though I haven't made significant strides in my progress, Hoyoverse is impressively rolling out massive updates. I have high respect for game developers. For them to think of game storyboards, short puzzles in-game. Crazy promotions and some leaks so they can get gamers to talk about them on the side. Man oh man! These are just two of the things that are on my rant plate for now. If I don't itemize and I don't let go of these thoughts out ASAP, I will be blabbering forever. The kid in me is excited for each change. Really lapping on the simplistic, yet grand changes igniting even more hunger to stay on and keep on playing. However, the adult in me, the one paying for the resource demands, is slowing (laughing in the background) down the pace in "being in the loop" and "being updated". Let's see for how long we can really keep up. And when just hearing the stories of the next generation is satisfying enough to know about the changes. Haha. ***What's up read-verse! I missed shooting outdoors.. Been a while since i took my cam out for a good chill photo walk. We used to live near a spot in the city where people mill in on weekdays to take their dogs to walk, to jog, or to exercise. I can stay there from sun up (early morning joggers) to sun down and have a lot of pixel-frozen stories. In different varieties of framing. This is one shot practicing panning.. and failing obviously but.. reviewing the pic, it still froze that experience of "almost but not quite". Hmm. I wonder if DreamWorld is still in Thailand. It is a good thing we have digital photos. I would think it was just my imagination ...
Anyone by any chance familiar with this very old game? it is called Police Quest. I happened to salvage the Hard disk of my very old hard drive and wanted to play some of the old games i had there. But well they are no longer available. So I had to search online in my desperation. And what do you know? Some games can be played online for free! yay. Happy kid.

Monday Mumbles... Ah, those days when it is still Monday but it already feels like a Friday. I have been peeping in and out of read these past few days trying to get back to the rhythm of writing but not really forcing myself to. Writing has been therapeutic ever since I am a kid. They do not necessarily need to be published but sometimes maybe just maybe just as some writeups do help me expand my thoughts, maybe just maybe the *things in my head* does the same for some. https://read.cash/@Pichi28/everything-in-the-head-728cf882 I have seen the *would you rather* prompts and responses of everyone. I would want to join in, too, but maybe tomorrow. I found one in *Pinterest* that piqued my interest (unintentional wordplay right there). And would like to run those questions to a randomizer by *Google via a google search (screenshot below from a google search).* https://www.pinterest.com/pin/735705289148016637/ Changing that Max field to fifty (50) because the pinterest post has 50 questions. Let's see... ***#28 | Tell us About a Memory or a Secret That Not Many Know About*** ***browsing through my library of memories..* *** fails miserably to load a memory...* I do not enjoy milk tea as much as everyone else is really into it. It is sort of like a "social drinking" for me when friends tag me along. It is not something I hate either. It is not that drink that pops into my head in a heartbeat when thinking of what to drink. Normally, that seat in my thoughts belong to *coke or coffee.* The latter being the absolute favorite. Hot cup on a hot day? I don't mind. ***#4| When is a Good Time to Keep a Secret?*** I feel a little lost with the question. By default it is honorable to always keep a secret. However, if it endangers the lives of many then I guess it is honorable to cautiously lead thoughts to it. ***#50| If you were able to be youthful forever, how would you live your life differently now?*** I still feel youthful save for the extra weight I do acknowledge to have made its presence really felt. I feel the question will not really lead me to any other "way of living". To be youthful forever but *broke* paints a different picture, yeah? Haha. Being youthful forever does not guarantee a bottomless pocket or endless zeroes after a one in your bank account. Youthful but sickly is also another game changer. Youthful but with enough money to invest, I'd say I will go and check out business ventures. But I still cannot picture "going on business ventures" as something that relies on being youthful. Admittedly, my initial answer was that I'd probably be lining up travels one after the other. Then again, I kind of re-assessed the current status of my travels and *being old* is not a huge factor as to why my travels lately are not *one after the other*. I wonder how the others would answer this question. *#32|What is your biggest fear?* Earthquakes. But the one outstanding and lingering in my head still happened last weekend. It was not romantic. But I appreciated the gesture and care by a friend. I am one highly independent woman. I have tasks and responsibilities that I manage on my own and have had healthy relationship with these responsibilities. Getting my car washed is one of these responsibilities that I do note to take care of every once in a while but in my rhythm. Being independent as well, it is not something I had in mind to have someone else do for me. My car, my responsibility is what I always tell myself. Receiving "help" is something I also need to work on. I parked my car in my friend's garage one time so we can use his car instead of mine going some place far. His wife, left behind to attend with some stuff, messaged us within the day and showed me a picture of my car being shiny and super clean. She got bored and decided to give my car a spa. Up to now, I am overwhelmed with thankfulness and really did feel that love. #12|What is one word that describes you? Ending with this one. And the answer that comes on top of my head is SLOTH. Ah, this heat! "Hey, Google.. take me some place cold and not crowded preferably with coffee." I never really tried that. But it is in my head. This heat is crazy. I was thinking of watching a movie in a mall just to escape it. But I am crowd-averse today. Specially it is Sunday and I am not the only one who is terribly not enjoying the heat. House feels like an oven! It is during these types of summer weather that I appreciate cold water and I remember way, way back, I was praying for a fridge so I can have ice cold water at least. The electric fan was not blowing coolness it was blowing warm air so it only stops you from sweating but not really cooling you down. So an ice or a cold water was needed. Years later, I did have a fridfegAnd this time, I am praying for an airconditioning in my house. Arrgh! Anyway, while that is still in the works and in awaiting directions from Providence, I prodded myself to go drive out a bit to some place cold or at least less warm. Yes, sometimes I have to convince myself it is healthy to go out and breathe a different set of ... uhm... oxygen. For some reason, I have this disconnect with what I am thinking and what my fingers will be typing in Google Maps or Waze. I intended to go to "Twin Lakes" but I ended up typing "Highlands". No wonder the way over was not familiar. I just took in the route starting as "I am not going to take this road back" to "ah this feels new to the eyes and will revisit on the way back just not entirely." I also thought it was the usual way Waze and Maps play tricks on directing me to drive through rice fields with narrow and cracked roads and surprise potholes. While taking the relaxed drive up and appreciating the non-stuck-in-traffic route Waze and Google Maps gave me, I was just amazed with the view. I had to pull over. The drive to when I realized I was not going to where I intended was still ten minutes away from this view. But boy, oh, boy! I don't mind. And when I realized my real destination was in the other direction and still far off, retracing the scenic route was with pleasure. I had the choice to wait for coffee until I get to the real place I am after. But chances are, it is slowly getting a little crowded and I might not have peaceful coffee time by the time I get there. So I made a decision to try the Pancake House. It is within the grounds of a hotel in the way, I think. I was just taking a stab at maybe them letting me walk in. And wow... crowd-less! Close to zero people! Al fresco. And yes... this view unblocked... Ahhh! This heat! I think it did me good making me take a relaxed Sunday afternoon drive away from the heat towards this. No doubt a nice place to reset the mind and start laying down plans for the week as the Sunday ends and Monday creeps in in few hours. Excuse me.. while I go back to staring at the beauty in front of me and just mentally listing down things to be thankful for and also on the side presenting my requests to the God who made this beauty intentionally. Live loved. Smile bright. Love hard. ©️ Pichi28 All Original Content Unless specified otherwise

Everything in the head I am far from bored. I am too near to being lazy, though. Except that my hard-working brain has been extra busy! If only everything I have accomplished in my head had been done for real, I may have become a millionaire by now! Wouldn't we all want that? In my head, I have gone through my stuff that I have labeled to turn into cash. Meaning they are things I am thinking of selling off soon. Less clutter. More space. In my head, I invested on two properties which then I will have someone rent and have rent pay for the loan. Yeah it sucks to imagine that to play a game of investments sometimes a loan is needed. And then if adulting is not fun enough, we further pressure ourselves with "living debt free". Haha. Oh, that is in my head, too. Debt-free. Then there's a lot of certifications I intend to take. And also trainings and classes. Ah! Oh the medals and the belts! Grabbing that opportunity to have that leverage in bargaining positions and privileges. Also from the time I woke up a while ago, more or less three hours ago, I have been to a lot of places, taken a lot of pictures and had a lot of stories to tell already. Ah my head is a wonderland and a wander- land. I am, by far, relieved that now settling down to reality, I do not have that loan which I will end up working my ass off for a real long time to pay off. Hah. Going back to my second cup for now.. and maybe fueling up more day dreams . This day dreaming and this planning on how to get to where we are "rich" brings me back always to what my first boss keeps telling our team whenever we get to a general assembly where we jokingly chant a demand for bonus and increases. He would always tell us when you get an extra, think twice about adding extra to your lifestyle as well. ..stay chill people... Spend wisely.. and don't get swung by the soc med's selling of a "good life". In need of more caffeine... -pichi28

Give me 3 minutes "Hey google! Set timer to three minutes" And google starts my phone timing me for three minutes. Let us see how far I can go with typing freely for three minutes. I am contemplating on going up to login for work or to stay in the parking lot for a while and maybe open the laptop as I sip my morning coffee. I will still be able to carry out my tasks then without having to rush my morning cup. Then again, if things get a little too serious and would need to have some phone calls, I might end up sitting in my car in the parking lot, engine off and sweating like a there is no tomorrow. But i will be relaxed and enjoying every sip of my hot coffee. Haha. That is how far 3 minutes took me. Not enough time, eh? Maybe next time I will be doing 5 minutes. But I also want to havea topic to free type about. Have you tried timed writing? If so, how was it? Do share your experience down at the comment section. I may need to revisit sites with suggested topics and try those. It will probably end up a wacky piece from me. And i would be apologizing in advance. Aside from the sites that suggests topic, you might have a topic in mind? Care to jot them down in the comment section as well? Thank you. Anyway, gotta get on with my day. Will catch you later.. ..... pichi28 Edited thi portion as I accidentally mentioned someone. Huhu ..
oh summer for real! I am not entirely complaining jut simply overwhelmed wth how hot the temp is.. where are you hanging out?
Holiyay! This is the second time we will have a holiday announced on short notice. Compared to the first, though, this one have more days of "preparation". Except that even with the days of preparation prior to the long-weekend, my wallet was not prepared to think of executing the "where to next" adventure juices. So here I am, Pichi28, mulling over some things I can do in this long-weekend-with-nowhere-to-go-and-nothing-to-do-planned. I have asked my friends what are their plans. And everytime I sent out the message my wallet 🙄 starts screaming, "Nope, you are going nowhere!" *<insert an image of a wallet with only a few bills inside and protesting against spending>* The message still goes through. If my friends reply with "no plans" then my inner child yelps with glee. I am, at that point, normal. If they answer that they do have a plan. Well, I just ignore the message. Still normal. I went through my list of long pending errands that are under the category of "not a priority" and thought of maybe I can get some going. They are not prioritized, hence, not urgent and would not be stressful to start crossing out. **First on the list was:** *taking my bike to the shop and getting it cleaned.* *<insert an image of a rusty bicycle looking sad and needs some bath>* An errand which my friend will laugh at me for having this pending for more than a year now. Taking the bike to the shop would mean getting some exercise, too! Sounds like a good idea until the realization of taking the bike to the shop could also mean needing some parts getting replaced, ergo, s-p-e-n-d-i-n-g. **Revisiting next on list:** *just go jogging first part of the morning. Make sure I am tired to think of anything else to do after.* I am reminded, I have no shoes for jogging. Hah! Still doable with any sneakers I have. Might consider. *<insert an image of a sketch of a funky stiletto shoes cross breed of a rubber shoes with wings>* **In frustrated random thought:** *Since it is a hot day, go stay inside a coffee shop, and plan out your Read, brainstorm on opportunities I may be missing to earn more, etc.* The airconditioning and the ambiance of a coffeeshop may be a nice to relax in to, but also screaming of having to spend. Besides, with the day being a holiday, I am sure such places will be crowded. Exhausting my "having to have something to do outside the house" self, I have resigned to the thought of staying home and most likely just look for possible certifications, add them to the queue of "investing on myself", continue some trainings, and the last resolve is to .. ... be a potato... *<insert an image of a cyberpunk cartoon potato sitting on a couch eating popcorn>* *Going mad and excited but in disbelief for not having enough fuel to cook up an activity here. And having a good laugh at myself.* Ain't it kind of frustrating that every move you make comes with a price tag. ? That makes me super grateful for and start thinking of things that may still be free... ...waking up is free ... breathing is free ... laughing is free ... loving is free ... being nice is free .. day dreaming is free ***©️ Pichi28*** ***All Original Content*** ***Unless specified otherwise*** ***Images created via Dall-E (openai) except for the lead image which was taken from last visit in Boracay.*

Dropping in.. Before closing the night... https://read.cash/@Pichi28/of-excitements-and-peace-6ec4245c
Of excitements and peace.... I decided to have my hair cut last weekend. I became bothered by how much hair fall I have been experiencing lately. Like I told my two friends, Mau and Abby, it almost seems like I own a pet dog with my hair fall in the car. So to give my scalp a bit of rest, I decided to give it a tender-loving snip. It is not too short, really it was just to help my scalp recover from whatever stress it is going through and for not holding on tight to my strands. Not gonna lie, I was a bit concerned when I got on the salon chair while the stylist was talking me through my decision and possible options and while she was inspecting my hair. I was bracing myself for the possible gasp and possible news of a repeat instance of my alopecia way, way back. I know hair grows back. At least in my case but growing older and some body changes can contribute to some varying recovery from that. My one comfort is that I am sure I have not deprived myself from protein being the carnivore that I am. Another comfort is that I have no abrupt change in diet - like sudden decision to reduce on some intakes. Diet was one of the things my doctor checked with me during one of mycheckups in my alopecia days. Protein intake was her other input - make sure I have them in my diet. Nope. Not a problem. Thank God I have no such news from my stylist! That only means that my hair growth process is still normal. No delays and no situation up there that may cause a spot. I do still get concerned with what may have caused my hair fall. Mau and Abby asked me if I am stressed lately. My sure answer was no. Though, re-asking myself now I think I may be to some extent stressed about some stuff. Growing old. That desire of acquiring stuff and more stuff and more stuff. Investing but not really wanting to take out anymore loans. Getting excited with possibly closing a long-standing loan. Getting excited with the possibility of "retiring early" not having a millionaire's pension but will get enough to live by. And hopefully no trailing loans. Man, I can list a lot of stuff and, man, I can definitely say my brain has been doing a lot of self conversations lately and that my brain doing a STORM in my thoughts may be partly a contributor to my hair fall. So, yes, I gotta go back to journaling. Some here and some in small notebooks. And also with this exploration, I got to circle in on a prayer: *Lord, quiet my heart and the storms of my excitement. Align me with what You are delighting in that I may take delight in that as well. Re-center my focus on what brings me peace rather than what aggravates my anxiety. Good things are good but not when they eat your peace, right? In Jesus' name... AMEN.* Oh, and also, I do need to get back in doing some physical movements. I am done with just stretching haha. I need to sweat some and do it intentionally. My body could also be not liking the sudden sedentary and too relaxed state I am putting myself in. So that's life lately, and this is Pichi28 tapping in some night thoughts. *Be kind to yourself people.* *Celebrate people's successes but never let their progress water down yours..* *Travel at your pace. Celebrate your small wins.* *Always pray for guidance.* ©️ Pichi28 All Original Content Unless specified otherwise
